Re: Packers Dysfunction in Detail

Finley never met a Rodgers pass he couldn't drop. Jennings played only 3 seasons after the Packers getting cut by the Vikings and Dolphins where he was never the #1 receiver that Rodgers made him look like even while his catch % was poor compared to other Packers like Nelson. Not saying Rodgers can...

Re: IHSA Districts Passes

It is interesting that this passed. Without knowing the vote breakdown, my assumption is that schools in suburban and city areas where the districts don't impact their travel or normal match ups much probably voted in favor. Schools like Pekin, Washington, Metamora, etc. that are in stable conferen...

Re: IHSA Districts Passes

I would be more concerned about the 69 schools that abstained. Passing by such a slim margin with these ramifications will probably be challenged in court IMO. I would also like to see the list of schools who did not vote. Or, I would like to know why schools that don’t play football cast a vote. I...

Re: Simeon alumni, parents suing IHSA due to 'blatant cheating' in loss to Nazareth

Crazy story - I had heard he was actually dressed as a ref for the game? :D Seriously, don't know if it's true but if it is why is he showing up as a ref for a game he's not a ref in? The email thing seems like a fake account but who knows? Tempers and accusations fly over stuff like this but its w...

As a fan of a team that has lost 5 state championship games to private schools, I bet you can't guess what one thing I'd change is????? :dustin I don't know what the answer is, I just know that schools like Aurora Christian have no business being in 1A, Sterling Newman & Decatur St Teresa have no b...

Re: Pekins future?

Where did I say it was high paying job? Try actually reading what I was saying. My point is that since this IS a paid job and not a volunteer job then there can be a little more scrutiny of position than say a volunteer JFL coach or something like that. Oh by the way, you seem to disparage Dale Pat...

Re: Pekins future?

Why didn't Pekin go out and hire another Dale Patton who was successful at a smaller school and had built a quality program? I get its not easy being a coach in this day and age. But a varsity coach is a big boy, paid also for doing the job. This is not volunteers at JFL level. So they can be open ...

Maybe you do coach and teach at the school. But probably not basketball, remember we called him jo basketball. He is a good supporter of the other sports. But he thought he knew everything about basketball and had no problem throwing his power around when it came to that sport. And I don't know any...

Hey Dunlap fans I will let you know where you problem is. Your principle came from our school chased out 2 coaches of which one was there for 20ish years and had a state title. Your principle thinks is is jo 8 basketball and tries to coach from his office. I saw you also lost your athletic director...

I just read Dave Kane's article at sj-r.com and I think the brown county coach sounds like a completely delusional conspiracy theorist

If I may ask, what is the point of this thread other than for you to copy past stuff from Geno? I mean, this is 109 posts and 5 pages of you copying and pasting things to yourself.

Re: Joe Walters resigns @ Bloomington

It shouldn't, but with it being a private school pretty much deeply reliant on donors, I figured his public interest in the job along with prior success there would pretty successfully push the needle in his direction.

Ok.

My point is, it's a little dishonest to say "Fridays are for HS, Saturdays are for college and Sundays pros" when high schools play games on Saturdays all the time.

Friday is for high school football, Saturday is for college football and Sunday and Monday for Pro with maybe an occasional Thursday.
Sure doesn't stop HS teams from scheduling games on Saturday.

IMO- It's much ado about nothing.

At it's current rate, no one will be fielding freshmen teams in 10 years because there won't be enough kids playing. All sports. Kids would rather have jobs for cars, i-phones, etc. Meh. I think that's a cop out. On one level, I don't blame them. Playing sports has become a 12 month endeavor. HS co...
