Re: Illinois basketball 2020-21

I'm extremely impressed with the Illini's legs and energy after having played 4 in 8 and 5 games in 11 days. We may learn a bit more about Michigan after their similar 4 in 8 and 5 games in 11 days, after Sunday. I could see MSU stealing 1. Even before last night I was thinking they would probably ...

Re: Illinois basketball 2020-21

I'm not sure what I'm arguing? I literally said last night was largely due to the Illini defense.

Re: College Hoops 2020-21 Season

Dakich's main problem is he just doesn't know when to shut up. He's not wrong calling "opting out" quitting because that's literally what opting out is. Again, he just needs to know when to shut up.

Re: Illinois basketball 2020-21

Michigan 5 games since returning from faux pause averaging 76.4 ppg and average margin of victory 11.6. They can claim whatever they want but their conference schedule was the softest of the top 6-7 teams and they further manipulated the schedule. Howard crying about officiating post game is even f...

Re: Illinois basketball 2020-21

Michigan never has recaptured their offensive rhythm from shutdown, but tonight is largely the Illini defense as well.

Re: Illinois basketball 2020-21

I told a buddy of mine that with a 6.5 point spread, the Illini were the smart bet tonight. I wasn't anticipating this though, lol

Re: College Hoops 2020-21 Season

I will say that whatever the reason or motivation is, I do think it's a mistake to not find a game between Indiana and Ohio and then Indiana and Iowa. You've already had a three week stretch without games, the offense isn't displaying any rhythm right now, so Michigan should be playing more not less.

Re: College Hoops 2020-21 Season

Michigan dictating B1G schedule. Will try to play as few make ups as possible due to “tired legs” and “mental health.” Keep in mind they had ZERO positives. Howard is a *****. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.freep.com/amp/6783346002 Don't hate the player, hate the game. Many football and basketbal...

Re: NFL playoffs 2021

Why is KC calling timeouts!? So dumb. Should have just let this go to halftime considering they get the ball at the half. Horrible decision. Given the family drama Reid is going through now, I'm not sure it's surprising but I thought the Chiefs got outcoached horribly last night. I know there's onl...

Re: Chicago Bears 2020

Several sources on Twitter are reporting the Eagles and Bears almost have a deal done. These sources seem to think the package is Foles, a first-round pick, and "another offensive player." Further searching, albeit that means less reliable sources, seem to think the other offensive player ...

Tuesday night Quincy area scores:

Payson beat West Hancock 52-38
Liberty beat Illini West comfortably but I don't remember the exact score.

Re: Illinois basketball 2020-21

Michigan bailing on 2 games to get additional practice time. Just happens to be 2 teams right behind them in the standings. https://twitter.com/BFQuinn/status/1356978777566437384?s=20 Michigan has already been off so long that at this point it would be far more beneficial for them to play as oppose...

Re: NFL playoffs 2021

Buffalo TWO rushing attempts for the entire first half! If the wind is that brutal, why aren't they trying to run the ball? To at least establish a run game? I don't get it... The announcers said a couple of times during the first half the Bills felt they couldn't run on Baltimore given what they d...

Re: Chicago Bears 2020

Another Bears-Saints game, another Bears WR getting tossed for throwing punches. A stupid and selfish play by the WR. Throw a punch in front of at least 2 refs. Yes, it's a penalty and should have been called as such. I don't get the ejection. Plenty of players do that and the refs don't eject them...

Re: Random thoughts from yesterday's NFL games

I didn't see the postgame handshake, but my observations from over the years are Brady does it maybe 50% of the time. Him not doing the postgame handshake is not a rarity. And, honestly, have you seen some of these handshakes? It's not sportsmanship when many players and coaches only do them because...

I agree. Plus, it's still only 14/32 teams making the playoffs which is not a bad percentage in my mind.
