Re: 2018 MVC Recruits

He comes from a good bloodline (father and brothers) and I think he has the type of body where he could excel against MVC-level competition, similar to how he did in high school. If Valpo had signed a top 150-level player like Gordon (top 10 in Indiana) I think their fans would be ecstatic. He put ...

Re: 2018 MVC Recruits

Honest question. What about his production in two seasons at Seton Hall would give you this outlook? He comes from a good bloodline (father and brothers) and I think he has the type of body where he could excel against MVC-level competition, similar to how he did in high school. If Valpo had signed...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

If we aren't using the scholarship. What is the downside ? We get the scholarship to use again in a year. If you say it prevents taking a transfer. I am fine with that. I don't really want a transfer anyway. If we may still get a player for next year, then I would hold it. I have no idea if he can ...

Re: 2018 MVC Recruits

Valparaiso gets Eric Gordon's brother as a transfer: https://twitter.com/GoodmanESPN/status/997619922145566720 Eron Gordon was mainly a backup point guard for the Pirates this season. This may prove to be a huge pickup for them since he's only a sophomore. I think he has a chance to be an outstandi...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

As for Shea, I guess it is a wait and see. Was always a fan of his, Aaron Zobrist type guy with a lot of character. Friends at Eureka told me he was the player every little kid looked up to. Guess to see if I am proved wrong. Again, I look at improvements from last year, free throw shooting and the...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

I can’t wait for the game at Carver when BU is up 20 late, Feehan comes in and makes a couple 3s. And the hot takes to come flowing in about how Wardle missed on a local guy that could have stood in the corner and made 3s, averaged 20 points per game, and become a true Cinderella story out from D2 ...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

Shea Feehan signs with Purple Aces as a graduate transfer. He can shoot the three from anywhere on the court and shoots 89% from the line. Two places where we need help. I have always thought he would fit into our plans someday. Let’s just hope that he doesn’t unload on us. He also played in one of...

Re: St. Louis Cardinals 2018

Wash, rinse, repeat. Heres a fun stat line. Paul DeJong. Hitting .260, 8hr-19rbi- 8 doubles-49Ks-.260. From a SS decent enough. Strikes out a lot, but he has some pop and is decent at ss. Ill take that in the 6-7-8 hole all day because that's just a role guy with better hitters ahead of him. Proble...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

Sometimes you win with recruits, sometimes you don't. So why does BU continue to lose out on recruits, especially to perceived equal or lesser schools? Academic standards? Coaching staff? BU administration? Peoria? The last recruit we actually won (then lost) may have been Cunningham. I don't think...

Re: BREAKING: SCOTUS rules in favor of legal sports betting

Smart states will jump all over this from the beginning and some already have (NJ, W. Virginia, PA). Those that wait will be losing out on millions of dollars.

Nope, made it to the 2nd inning. However it was great to see Carp and Fowler on the bench and Jed and Bader getting starts. Both of them hit HR. Its simple
Fowler and Carpenter should not play vs LHP.

Re: St. Louis Cardinals 2018

Thank God for Tommy Pham or the Cardinals would never score. Matt Carpenters bad speed has really slowed down. He needs to be a part time player at this point. On the good side the bullpen seems to be settling down some and everyone has defined roles which Matheny likes. Thankfully, next year is th...

Sorry Mike, that’s why I didn’t take it further. But as a father of two vets, and one being a disabled vet, I took tribes military comment as an insult to all that have served. It is all for really dumb stuff, which goes perfectly with him being really dumb. http://www.pjstar.com/sports/20180509/yarbrough-released-on-bond-after-confrontation-with-ex-girlfriend?rssfeed=true&utm_source=twitter.com&...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

We landed the next Vin Baker. Joking aside Hartford will probably be picked to win the America East next season. They have players who can play for Bradley any day. Then why did Bile state he chose us because of better competition? Because the Valley overall is a harder league. But Hartford as a te...

Re: Paying NCAA Athletes

Like I previously stated, if they want to be paid turn pro and let the amateurs stick to college sports. I would not miss any of those players that left to turn pro. The ones that want to be paid pretty much have already illegally gotten it on the side which is why this is a moot point. How much mo...

Re: Paying NCAA Athletes

Yes....really. How will that be decided? I guess you're saying the backups and/or redshirt players are equal to the starting qb/rb/wr, even though they probably don't contribute one bit to the "millions" of people that are watching. Smart people in all walks of life figure out compensation for bill...
