Re: Bradley's depth 19/20 season

Can't wait to see the coaches prediction of the Valley. The top spot to me is up for grabs and we're as good as anyone to take it. Hopefully the team chemistry at the end of the year follows through to this year. MSU should be a unanimous #1... no questions asked. I suspect Bradley will be picked t...

I think to be overly critical of our coach when he led us to our first ever Tour. title in St. Louis is insane.

Re: 2019 MVC Recruits

Cooper comes from a good bloodline of Vince Carter and Antawn Jamison, but I'd take Kingsby's experience over him the next two years. I also doubt he's 6'3.

Re: Bradley's depth 19/20 season

He will get plenty of shots this season as a starter. If he takes too many shots he'll likely get frozen out by the veterans ahead of him and disrupt team chemistry. It would be interesting to see how Wardle's NBA players at UWGB fared in their freshman campaign. I agree with mexico's starting line...

Re: Bradley's depth 19/20 season

Kingsby, Brown, Childs, Boya, Bar, Gabriel, Henry, Kennell and Thomas. I expect these 9 to contribute something during this season to help us win games. Ville could even chip in something to get it to 10 players. The key here is how you define "contribute". I'd expect Ville to contribute more than ...

Re: Lots has been written about players taking the next step. What do you want to see Wardle improve on?

Media relations. It would be nice to have a season without some drama between Wardle and a player and/or media. Wardle is still a young coach and probably still evolving when it comes to learning how to better handle and manage his emotions. I'd also like to see him get a quicker handle on who his ...

Luuk has reported that he is recovering after surgery for a ruptured Achilles he suffered three weeks ago. He just got out of a cast and has started rehab and hopes to come back stronger than ever.

Northwestern lost their top three scorers (and more) and will most likely be picked to finish last in the Big 10. We need to make a statement by winning this game convincingly.

How did that happen?
That's kind of weird because it implies a twitter rule violation. Perhaps BU used Alice Cooper's likeness without his consent and without compensation to promote their brand?

Boya was a little bit of a fish out of water last year, but that had more to do with not being able to practice and missing the non-con. That's huge, especially for a frosh.
I think Boya and Bar will be this season's pleasant surprises. They both looked improved in video I've seen of them.

Re: 2019 MVC Recruits

Not really applying to 19-20, but MO State just got another huge verbal from a 4-star talent. If Ford can coach them up at all, they look every bit the favorites the next couple years (on paper). Wondering how he's getting all these really good recruits? I'm hoping it is all legitimate. The MVC cou...

Poulakidas (2021) would be the type of big guard and shooter we need but I think he'll go higher before he's done.

Oh no! What a great guy he was. I'll always remember Tony for his passion and sense of humor. He was one of few guys who carried the gravitas with Dick Versace to get Dick to calm down and actually listen. His loss has created a huge void in the world of great old school coaches. RIP Tony!

Everyone couldn’t figure out why Price signed an LOI and now you know. It allowed him to spend the summer taking classes at BU. Now that Kingsby is eligible (and Mast questionable) what will become of Price after summer school? Still going the prep school route or joining the team for this upcoming...

He will be here in August, don’t give up on him.
The team will have about six months to determine if he needs to redshirt so no need to worry now. Just plan for a season without him and be pleasantly surprised if he becomes available for the MVC season.

Suggs may surprise some. He got a lot of PT at Mizzou last year and, as a grad transfer, will be immediately eligible. He will help make the Salukis at least competitive in Mullins' first year and only ties up a scholarship for one season. I think he's an excellent late pick up for SIU. This late i...

As a transfer McAdoo has a year to sit out and continue to rehab/strengthen any knee problems he has. If it's determined during the upcoming season that he's unfit to play the following year I'm sure the staff will address that and move on. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'm not too worried about...

Re: Bradley's depth 19/20 season

A lot of coaches have to deal with these kinds of issues -- injuries, suspensions, last minute transfers out... Wardle and staff have a full summer and preseason to craft a plan that will be successful with the hand they've been dealt. I think a known injury now is much easier to plan and deal with ...
