Re: Braves vs. EIU

Give Jay Spoonhour credit. He was not going to let Darrell and Eli beat them. And, they didn't. No one else could do anything. The blueprint to beat Bradley was exposed in the last few minutes of the Penn State game and teams have been using that to beat Bradley. We're weak at guard! Inadequate bal...

Re: Airing of Grievances

Discussions centering on playing at the RC ; I do believe it will happen in the next 10 years because of an old declining fan base. Just not by choice. Ugh. Everyone will have a smaller penis then too. :D And ultimately that will be needed to facilitate a move. Can you even say "penis" on here. :ro...

Time for some big time donors like Braves4Life and Bradley Brave to pony up. No reason to be the richest dudes in the cemetery in the end :)
Haha, TOTALLY! I'll let Bradley Brave go first.

Re: Gonzaga

Their is an up and coming under 40 group of leaders that Bradley could tap into if they lost a few big donors. I'm with tribe that in that I think very few big donors would cancel out on Bradley. There's not much else going on in Peoria in the winter. In fact, I'd argue that a charismatic and strong...

Re: Gonzaga

The student issue matters as far as having games on campus because I guarantee Gonzaga has a huge number attending because it is on campus. BU tried it for a few games and the students could have cared less for the most part. Gonzaga has done a fantastic job creating interest and demand with both s...

Because we are talking about a lot of money raised by those fees. There is no way BU would not charge them for the best seats even though it is their facility .
BU would make that lost maintenance revenue up quickly by moving games on campus.

Re: Gonzaga

Spending $20,000/game rent just to play in Carver Arena is awful business. I believe Roberts has hinted at this exact thing. I fully expect Bradley (either Roberts or his successor) to move games back to campus within 5 years. Honestly, if you understand enrollment forecasting, there will be no oth...

the big donors are not going to pay huge maintenance fees to attend games at the RC.
Why would maintenance fees even be needed? Ren Con has survived this long with little generated revenue and NO maintenance fees.

Re: Gonzaga

Playing on campus would be the opposite of a gamble would it not? To any business or rational person not emotionally attached to BU MBB it would be the 100% rational decision to make. That's not a gamble. True, but it will take a strong university president with a big pair to challenge the establis...

Re: Gonzaga

I would be fine playing in a small on campus arena ( I didn't used to feel that way) However I hate Our current on campus option. It has no character on the inside. If changes are possible, I would be all for it. Gonzaga spent half as much money building their stadium than Bradley (granted it was 6...

Re: Gonzaga

Gonzaga and Spokane seem to have a lot in common with Bradley and Peoria. It would seem to me that we could stand to learn from their model of success.

Re: What will Ari Boya be?

I have faith in him, unfortunately it came straight from the coaches mouth as far as Jan. My guess is they are being extra careful with him so he does not have any setbacks. Mex has been spot on with his calls all year long. Kinda like he has a pipeline straight to the coaching staff. As secr...

Re: Ugly

Not to tear open an old and mostly healed wound, but let's not forget Jim's last season. Yes, Taylor Brown missed the season and Sam Maniscalco missed the rest of the season after the EIU game with ankle issues. Despite that, we still had on the roster Valley scoring champ Andrew Warren, 5th year s...

Re: Walt Lemon Jr signs with Pelicans

It looks like a 10-day contract gets you about $25,000+ per diem. So get two of those and it's not a bad idea to stay in the G-League financially. Man, would be a scary way to make a living with so much uncertainty. I could see Walt giving it this season and possibly next before giving up and going...

Re: Walt Lemon Jr signs with Pelicans

I'd have to think he'd have no problem finding a nice overseas gig right now that would pay him $500K+ a year for the next few years... Really? I'd have thought (maybe) up to $250-300K for a "no-name" player without a great resume like Walt. If that's the case then Walt's advisors are doing him a g...

Do the Chicago Bulls now own Walt and the right to bring him up, or his he still owned by the Celtics? Walt has averaged 23.5 ppg for the Maine Red Claws of the G-League.

But the fact is that SIX of the top 25 (24% of all the players Bradley has had in 115 years) all time scorers Bradley has ever had, played between 2006 - 2010! (and 7 of the top 31). a roster stocked with shooters Not sure there are very many teams in all of college basketball with a roster stocked with shooters. But it's nice to have at least 1 or 2. But in 2005-2006 we didn't have any players with ~37% or better 3-pt shooting (more than 1 attempt/gm) and did ok 2006-2007 we h...

The "younger people" are just as much into sports as any other generation. Sports participation is at an all time high. But attending a game doesn't hold the same "value" to people as it used to. It has nothing to do with liking or not liking sports. Well tribe, you've actually opened my eyes to so...

Up just 3.5% over last season.

If season ticket sales are up 10%, then walk-up/single-game ticket sales are down quite a bit.
Statistically speaking, that may not necessarily be true.
