I am an older guy and have followed sports in central and northern illinois for years. but, for some reason, i had never heard of the sunday morning baseball league until i saw a pbs show on sunday about it. really enjoyed that program and still wonder how i had never heard of a league that has been...

Re: 2019-20 DI Hoops Coaching Carousel

UIC appears to have their next head coach as well: https://twitter.com/GoodmanHoops/status/1242190860789440512 Yaklich just completed his first season as the associate head coach at Texas. Prior to his time at Michigan, he was an assistant for 4 years under Dan Muller at ISU (which Yaklich attended...

the decision to make Moline forfeit the one game and not the other sets an interesting precedent.

Really Ging? After all these years of beating the bejibbers out of Pekin, you must ask? Why? You have a blank check for Friday - just write in any score you want! You could write Sterling 76 Pekin 6 or maybe Sterling 60 Pekin 14...Sterling can score as many points as they want on Friday - just like...

I've posted the projections on here the past several years and they've been a good discussion point. As always, these projections are used to be as more of a discussion point than anything else. So here's the projections for the large school conferences in central Illinois, including the toughest g...

i don't think either rock falls or dixon will "wow" people during warm ups, but don't let that fool you. both of these teams can play. some players to pay particular attention to are beau bailey and derrian duncan from dixon as well as cade nailor and dylan leaf from rock falls.

If I could change one thing I would implement the “sliding multiplier” authored by Birdwatcher year’s ago. In a nutshell it took population density into consideration when determining the football enrollment for non-boundary schools. Schools in large population centers would be multiplied by a larg...

It seems that Sterling was kind of the outer part of this conference, so maybe football was the issue along with maybe the fact that of these schools, Sterling is kind of the farthest with Rochelle/La Salle being a little closer... dixon joined the big norther...
