Re: Class 3A Peoria Sectional pairings set

i don't think either rock falls or dixon will "wow" people during warm ups, but don't let that fool you. both of these teams can play. some players to pay particular attention to are beau bailey and derrian duncan from dixon as well as cade nailor and dylan leaf from rock falls.

Re: Dunlap Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

:o you must work at the school, because you obviously don't talk to the parents or players. Once again who is there for the kids? no sir, i don't work at the school nor do i talk to the parents or players. i'm a neutral observer from sterling. i was at the taylorville tournament (sterling played th...

neutral observer here - i saw dunlap play 4 times last weekend and came away impressed with the new head coach and the young talent on the team. the needle seems to be pointing up for the eagles.

I get being upset but this was put to a vote. It was mandated by IHSA.

Schools voted for this.
agreed. many people are missing that part of this whole thing.

Re: If You Could Change ONE Thing About Playoffs..

If I could change one thing I would implement the “sliding multiplier” authored by Birdwatcher year’s ago. In a nutshell it took population density into consideration when determining the football enrollment for non-boundary schools. Schools in large population centers would be multiplied by a larg...

Re: If You Could Change ONE Thing About Playoffs..

let the coaches seed the teams in their bracket. the ihsa can tweak the outcome if necessary. higher seeded team hosts, period. also, neutral site playoff games for semis, preferably on turf. Having been in seeding meetings, or All Conference meetings for football and other sports, I can't imagine ...

Re: Week 3 scores

Muss, ging and others associated with Sterling or up north, how would you feel if the IHSA went to districts? What would Sterlings district look like? i'm fine with districts. however, sterling was essentially forced to join a new conference for ALL sports based on football. if we go to districts f...

Re: Week 3 scores

What conference will Dixon belong too? It seems that Sterling was kind of the outer part of this conference, so maybe football was the issue along with maybe the fact that of these schools, Sterling is kind of the farthest with Rochelle/La Salle being a little closer... dixon joined the big norther...

long story about the nib12 break up. and it's 99% about football and not the other sports. it started a few years back when streator and dixon bolted the conference after struggling to compete in football. then last year, two schools from another conference that is breaking up and 1 school from the ...

Re: Week 3 scores

to answer CIS's question about the new conference for sterling, they (and geneseo) are joining the western big 6 (8?). moline, rock island, galesburg, east moline, rock island alleman, and quincy are the current members. my opinion is that, as far as football is concerned, the old ncic was fine for ...

Re: Geneseo and Sterling to WB6?

likely to be approved by both schools. sterling had no other options, other than independent. geneseo had an invite to the new I8, but apparently did not want to join. from a football standpoint, history shows that both schools should be able to be competitive in the wb6 most years. not so sure abou...
