Porter Moser will be St John’s 8th coach in 27 years. That is not a place patient for culture-building or kind to Chicagoans. We’ll see Porter back in the Valley in 5 years.

TCU practices at Army to prepare for NIT semifinals, in part to honor the memory of Jamie Dixon's late sister Maggie who passed away just weeks after leading Army WBB to its first ever NCAA bid in 2006, and before the age of 29. https://www.thestate.com/sports/college/article228698134.html Remember...

MOST should hire the same coach they hired last time a coach departed after a S16 so he can finally fulfill his NCAA Tournament dream. :zgrill

Re: Next Year

Measuring an entire season on one game in STL is too pressure-filled IMO. NCAA or NIT is a successful season.

Win the regular season and the Arch is house money.

Haha, clicked the tweet and the one reply is a Creighton fan heftily more negative than anything posted in this thread. :P

I liked the arena. Couple gripes /=/ dislike. But VIP folks don’t face the same roadblocks.

Re: Wells Fargo Arena

For how much negative talk on here there was, Harlan, Bonner, and Reggie were glowing in their review of the site and the venue at the end of the Minnesota-Michigan State game and were hoping that it gets in the regular rotation going forward. They get VIP parking and avert the bathrooms and concou...

Re: Realignment Uh-Oh

This may sound weird but what’s good for the ten basketball programs may not be the same thing as what’s good for the ten universities. I wish Murray State basketball was in the MVC. But I understand from a bigger, University level why wanting to be in more urban areas with alums means more. Just m...

Should be an outlier year for the conference as a whole. Agree on expansion. Until proven otherwise, I assume it is a fun rhetorical exercise for us. I don’t see us changing the composition of the conference until events around them demand they do so. Again. Also, anyone who wants to pass the buck ...

Yeah that news reporter take on how well Sparty traveled was odd (MSU filled less than 2/3 of its lower section and their upper section had no green) but at least they gave huge props to Bradley Nation saying the people who drove from Peoria made it a home game for the Braves.

Walked around whole stadium and bathroom lines were so long I decided to hold it. Concourses were a disaster. Skywalk was brilliant. Disagree on the atmosphere for game 1. Not sure if it was my seat (the loft - baseline) but you could hear a pin drop at times. It was great to have all the Iowa State...

Stick with Iowa State. They have an amazing fan base that takes over the conference tournament and has realistic expectations and appreciates their coaches. That’s rare. I’ve always respected Cyclone Nation.

However, I think the extra attention generated by their basketball program gets more people watching, excited and willing to donate to their alma mater. I also think the extra eyes gained by a productive and exciting basketbal...
