Re: Fire Wardle

I say get rid of Wardle by the end of the week, and let an assistant finish out the season. Let someone who is motivated to prove themselves see if they can right the ship. I suspect that the players probably have a healthier relationship with the assistants anyways... I’ve heard we have the largest...

Didn’t this team beat Penn State?
PSU is 0-7 in the Big 10. 7-11 overall. Last win was against Colgate on 12/8/18.
Still better than Drake probably? And most of the MVC...

Re: Braves vs the Drake

Channeling the remainder of my optimism and support into this game — the offense will finally click and defense will hold off a late charge from the Bulldogs.

Re: Track 2019

I was referring to the mess that always comes with disorganization of checking athletes in for races when they didn’t come to the mandatory check in prior to the meet, athletes trying to enter races that they aren’t listed for Does that problem simply arise from coaches not taking care of procedura...

Re: Track 2019

No, I believe the date stays the same— Monday before boys state meet. I was referring to the mess that always comes with disorganization of checking athletes in for races when they didn’t come to the mandatory check in prior to the meet, athletes trying to enter races that they aren’t listed for, th...

Re: Braves v Da Bears

Have one more game of optimism in me...then I’m checking out until next season. Still have faith in Wardle, but he needs to figure out how to run the offense when we aren’t hitting lucky 3’s. Takeaways from the game — LVB needs to play. Period. Bar cannot guard any half-athletic big man. Brazilliona...

Track 2019

There are some major storylines emerging for this season...Dunlap moves to 3A (joining Washington, Pekin, and Central), can their girls team compete at that level? Also at Dunlap, Pat Garst has retired, Amanda Young (Duvendack) takes over as head coach, longtime assistant Chris Friedman takes over o...

Re: Braves v Valpo

I honestly think this team would be better offensively with only 4 guys on the floor — LVB, DB, DLO, NK...EC is a lost cause, his poor attitude is polluting the whole team it seems. Saw the men’s team come out to the women’s game on sunday afternoon and I got a major cliquey vibe - EC, DB, and AP sa...

Re: UNI

Avid Braves fan with no technical knowledge of basketball here. Was at the game tonight and noticed the lack of direction on offense...what exactly is our offensive scheme? It seems like 90% of each possession is tossing it around the 3 point line back and forth? The team has 2 players over 7 feet t...

Re: 2018

The mid-Illini should be much more competitive than in years past. On the boys side, it looks like a Washington-Metamora matchup for the championship. Washington boys are deep, but they’ll have to get a few guys up front to offset Glaub’s low-stick points. Based on the pre-conference, Washington def...

Re: Dunlap All Transfer Team

I think Caterpillar most likely had an effect on the first 3 mentioned. North Carolina and Texas are two huge Cat markets. The last 2 seem to be leaving by choice, as Illinois Math and Science is a private school in Aurora (which I believe a Chen boy transferred to as well), and the Dyestat and Mile...
