Re: Bowl Season

One thing is for sure, ND haters' won't hafta worry about ND being in the nat'l champ. mix next year. 8 wins most likely, 9-10 would be over achieving IMHO.

Re: Bowl Season

The difference between Alabama and Notre Dame’s performances was plain to see. Alabama had 440 yards of offense but sputtered in the red zone and it cost them the game. Notre Dame had 240 yards and never had a chance. Not seeing the difference is just ignorance About as ignorant as pollsters who th...

I just wonder what the "attendance" will be!
A bad Bradley Braves Basketball team combined with possible snow accumulation = 4,000 if they're lucky. Probably less.

Anyone who threatens Parkey or his family on social media, etc. should be prosecuted. It is a freaking game!
He'd better hope it's only on social media. I was him, I'd disappear from Chicago for good.

The memes regarding his miss circulating already are hilarious.

Re: Bowl Season

Sadly, what happened to my Irish(losing) is exactly as I had predicted to my Clemson fan nephew/sister. I had hoped, thought at least it could/would be closer. Surprised and bummed at the outcome. It was a beat down. We certainly didn't look as if we belonged in the final four, but, am wondering if ...

Great googily moogily!!!

Let's say Soucie's district model for Pekin holds true. I was wondering what their travel now, to travel in two years, would look like. Like I said, better start having those bake sales now for some charter buses. Also, districts would absolutely nullify any student fans. What parent is going to let...

I've half @$$ joked before the men's program should just play their games at Renaissance, and judging by the direction of this program, and the lack of attendance, this may, or should, become a reality. My goodness, as far it goes in regards to Div-1 Basketball & Football in this state, it just plai...

Re: IHSA Districts Passes

Metamora Football was already struggling mightily as of late with atmosphere and fan participation. If the district model I've seen for them holds true, Malone Field game day will be a ghost town. Urbana, Rantoul, Lincoln ...... :gagr FYI, that's an Urbana program that when I went to Peoria Stadium ...

Welcome to the playoff Oklahoma & Georgia. Courtesy of Notre Dame & Michigan.

I'm fine with it. Have thought all year we(ND) weren't a playoff team. If we're gonna get knocked out, might as well be against a team with cheerleaders with really nice sweaters!!!! :trulove :kiss :foryou

Trophies look like those given to NCAA champions.

I like how they did the medals this year. Right in front of each teams fans.

How does he keep his job after this beat down??? You can't beat Ohio St. this year, with all the craziness that's happened-n-such, they never will.

.... and of course the IHSA does nothing. The father spoke to the referees and stood on the sidelines and in a referee-only area, the suit alleges. The complaint included what it said were screenshots of the father responding to the ensuing criticism online. He wrote, according to the suit: “I did w...

Surprised there hasn't been some chatter concerning this. Of course, maybe it's because this may not even be a contest.

Caleb Fisher, Washington Panthers. Dominant, outstanding athlete on both sides of the ball!!

Who else in the area would garner consideration???

Two Proposals

Two football proposals among the IHSA's list of bylaw amendment proposals. They'll be discussed at town halls before decision is made which proposals go to statewide vote in December.

1st proposal expands playoffs to 384 teams, playoffs begin Week 9.

2nd proposal is districts.
IMHO, both $uck.

Re: Round 2 Playoff Scores

With 3:00 to go I told the Metamora contingent I was siting with that that was waaaaaay too much time for Fisher. The kid is nothing but a winner. Washington/area folks will talk of the catch to win the game, but, the real hero is Fisher who in 9.9 seconds threw not one, but two passes for touchdown...

Whether underdog or not SHG will be prepared, unlike NPL.
No doubt SHG will be ready. NPL was prepared as well. But, they were out-manned. NLP could have had 2 more weeks to "prepare" and outcome would have been the same.

It may not affect your point totals, but East Peoria was 4-10. Beat Metamora, Dunlap and Canton twice.
Thanks for the heads up!!! :D
