Re: Metamora Hoops News?
It always happens, recruiting is real and happens all the time. i have no dog in this fight, but is it actual "recruiting" or just player movement? i ask because there's a difference. It always happens, recruiting is real and happens all the time. i have no dog in this fight, but is it actual "recr...

Re: Chicago Bears 2019
Despite what we sometimes think, the coaching in the league is pretty darn good. The opposition has a year + of game film on Nagy play calling. It's also pretty obvious that Nagy has stressed the importance of MT staying in the pocket and the result he has taken away the very thing that MT did well....

Re: 2019 Pairings Night Thread
Pekin gets Thorton Harvey in first round. Whoever wins that one will go home in second round after meeting up with Nazareth from La Grange. I know a little about Nazareth - they have an incredible QB who is JJ McCarthy. He's going to Michigan next year - some incredible video of him I believe McCar...

Re: Green Bay Packers 2019
I don't know what to think of the game against KC. While they have some dynamite play-makers, the Chiefs have some key players either out, or significantly hobbled. This is the type of game McCarthy led teams typically dirtied their pants. On the road, slight favorite. Past history it has been a rec...

Re: College Football Week 7
Can’t believe Illinois is within 3. Looked liked it was going to be a 50 blowout early. I am Not normally a "fire the coach!" single game , knee j**k reaction type of guy, but if Illinois comes back from 28-0 to win this game then Harbaugh should be the "former Michigan head coach" when the plane t...

Re: Mitchell Trubisky
Boy Redbird, I don't know. Eli is not that much of an upgrade (a little I agree) and plus he would have to learn a whole new system...interesting thought but if the Bears did something like that, in my opinion the QB would have to be a better QB than Eli at this stage... I agree it is tricky. My th...

Re: Week 2 Large School Discussion Thread
I wasn't able to attend the Washington-Belleville (West) game the other night. Sounds like quite the game/finish. Can someone who was at game, fill me/us in how a team who could not score a point in 6 quarters(shutout against Sycamore game 1), somehow score 30+ in next 2? What the heck did they do d...

Re: Mitchell Trubisky
Well one QB today who did worse than Trubisky was Jameis Winston - 46 QB rating, 1 TD and 3 INT....Baker Mayfield wasn't so hot either - 64 QB rating, also 1 TD and 3 INT, which is funny because Mayfield had ripped Trubisky a few weeks ago for not being a good QB.... I may have been sleeping but I ...

Re: Mitchell Trubisky
The big unknown for all of us(the general fan who doesn't understand it) is salary cap. Trubisky is in 3rd year of rookie contract and will be looking to get "paid" after this year, if he even has a marginally good year. Can you hear what Dak Prescott is talking number wise?. Having said that, Mitch...

Why would you put up the bleachers in a manner you know sight lines will be compromised???? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: Here's my take but probably better answered by someone better in the know...the designer or school rep. The press box is situated within the footprint of the x number of rows of n...

Re: 2019 Season
Panthers have a senior class that lost only one game in frosh-soph seasons (that game was against a JV squad that had sr.’s playing for the other team). More talent there than what some remember. Lost a couple kids due to injury and relocation. They just had a ton of talent in the class above them ...

Re: Belien to Cavs
At the time of his hire, many thought Belien was an underwhelming hire. Just sayin... I thought it was a great hire at the time. He has shown in the college ranks that he could win. Going from WVU to Michigan was not a stretch at all. Now going from college to the pros is a stretch IMO. Chances of ...

Re: 2019 BU recruiting
People have selective memories when it comes to all of this and the "big schools" vs "small schools" thing. They see what they want to see and believe what they want to believe. What do *you* remember that would set the record straight? I am baffled by the comment too. I cited 2 examples where the ...

Re: 2019 BU recruiting
I don't post much on here but do follow the discussions. On the transfer topic, I get that the two transfers have to sit a year . Here's my question/issue: Recently, Georgia's backup stud freshman QB, transferred to OSU and was given a "waiver". The transfer was apparently due to unhappiness with pl...

Re: Metamora Hoops News?
I realize the injury to the big kid had a negative effect, but it's a head
scratcher as to the so-so season with so many returnees. I guess that's high school basketball. Not the 1st time it happened, nor will it be the last.
