Re: 2019 Season

Panthers have a senior class that lost only one game in frosh-soph seasons (that game was against a JV squad that had sr.’s playing for the other team). More talent there than what some remember. Lost a couple kids due to injury and relocation. They just had a ton of talent in the class above them ...

Quite a bit of drainage work has been completed in addition to foundations. Curbs and storm inlets to catch water running off parking lot have been installed. Much needed

Re: Belien to Cavs

At the time of his hire, many thought Belien was an underwhelming hire. Just sayin... I thought it was a great hire at the time. He has shown in the college ranks that he could win. Going from WVU to Michigan was not a stretch at all. Now going from college to the pros is a stretch IMO. Chances of ...

Re: 2019 BU recruiting

People have selective memories when it comes to all of this and the "big schools" vs "small schools" thing. They see what they want to see and believe what they want to believe. What do *you* remember that would set the record straight? I am baffled by the comment too. I cited 2 examples where the ...

Re: 2019 BU recruiting

I don't post much on here but do follow the discussions. On the transfer topic, I get that the two transfers have to sit a year . Here's my question/issue: Recently, Georgia's backup stud freshman QB, transferred to OSU and was given a "waiver". The transfer was apparently due to unhappiness with pl...

Re: Metamora Hoops News?

I realize the injury to the big kid had a negative effect, but it's a head :scratch scratcher as to the so-so season with so many returnees. I guess that's high school basketball. Not the 1st time it happened, nor will it be the last.

Re: Coach Brown

Obviously a long year for Panthers with C Brown's illness and several key returning players electing not to play. Pretty hard for physically inferior freshmen and sophs to compete at the varsity level. Still scratching my head how they were able to beat the Potters the other night. Kudos to Morton f...

As a side bar, Jeff Thomas from ESL who apparently was going to transfer from Miami to the Illini, has had a change of heart and is staying at the U. Must have liked the coaching change

Re: Green Bay Packers 2018

A friend of mine who is a season ticket holder told me today he believes Pete Carmichael of Saints is the favorite among most fans to become the next head coach. I find it humorous that"most fans" even know most candidates names, let alone their background or resume to be a head coach. I am more th...

Re: Bowl Season

I don't mean for this question to be deemed as sour grapes but I know it's probably going to be: Are we really comparing apples and oranges when it comes college football? Do Clemson/Alabama have players on their rosters that couldn't pass admission standards, at let's say, Notre Dame, Northwestern,...

Re: Chicago Bears 2018

At home, division champs, and against a wildcard team that barely got in(SB Champs aside), this is a game you HAVE to win. Nothing guaranteed next year. In fact, now that they've won, some of these guys who are due contract extensions gonna start grumbling. Happens every year. Everyone thought Vikin...

Re: Chicago Bears 2018

I am surprised we haven’t had more comments on upcoming playoff game. My only fear is that Alshon Jeffries will come in and tear us apart, unless we get pressure up front. He’s too good to go one on one against. I like the Bears especially if the fog rolls in....again. Dudes my age may understand ;)

Re: Bowl Season

Got a bad feeling on Michigan today . In my opinion their 3 best players elected to skip bowl. Can't blame em in a way. Secondary bowl and risk of injury. Think they remember J Butt tearing his knee up 2 years ago in bowl and costing him $$ in the draft

Absolute cheap shot by the Niners player on Trubisky there.
Looked worse live to me and then the replay showed the DB raising hands as if to show I'm in trouble here and I don't mean to harm. Hit wasn't that bad but 99% of time it's going to draw the flag when it's a QB

I really don’t want Philbin back next year. I think everyone would benefit from a new regime and direction.

Road win. A win. Does it mean much ? Nope. Heard they had 3 or 4 guys go out again and not come back. Amazing issue every year with this team.

Re: Green Bay Packers 2018

Agree. You don't trade A Rod. He didn't get much help this year, and quite frankly , he realized it early on. I knew this was going to be a long year after the abysmal performance in Washington. Having said that, the sky's not falling. Two #1's this year, and more importantly, earlier in the ledger. ...

Considering the age of Rogers and the lack of quality players, I think Green Bay should trade Rogers for a boatload of draft picks. Some team like the Skins would bite.
Not gonna happen but it's a thought

Re: Green Bay Packers 2018

Both lines need to be retooled. Unfortunately, not enough draft choices/or quality ones. We all know what they do in free agency so no help there. I wonder if we'll trade down again? And the injury front...is it me or is it the same thing every year? Bulaga, K King, Perry, etc. always , alway...

Re: Chicago Bears 2018

Well guys, it will be interesting to see how this all pans out. I can't fault people for not wanting him on their team. I do know that when the Cubs got Alrodis Chapman there were conflicting thoughts about getting him. But when the Cubs won the world series that year it seems that all Cub fans for...
