UIC coach Steve McClain in hot water, after it was revealed he committed an ethics violation as a state employee after receiving $2500 to promote and eventually get UIC to purchase software produce by a company called FastModel Sports. https://chicago.suntimes.com/opinion/illinois-uic-steve-mcclain...

Blues drop one in OT to the Hawks and then drop another one with a late goal against Anaheim on Sunday. This team REALLY needs to figure out that they need to play for the full 60 minutes.

Re: F*!#

Just my opinion here, but in this league I would much rather have more depth at guard (which we have quite a bit of) than at the 4/5. Not saying we don’t need depth at the 4/5, but I would much rather have the roster set up the way it is with it being guard heavy. Again just my opinion after watchin...

Re: Chicago Cubs 2018

The Brewers and Cubs are in a FAR better situation than St. Louis. Milwaukee has Yellich and Cain under control through 2022, their bullpen is easily the best in the NL so starters really only have to go 5, and they have the 5th ranked farm system in all of MLB. What source are you using that ranks...

Re: St. Louis Blues 2018 - 2019

Will they win 35 games? Under the old playoff format every team in the Central would likely make the playoffs. The division is absolutely LOADED. I think they will be fine. It was the first NHL game for at least 4 that I could count, potentially more. From what I remember Allen really only let in 1...

Re: Chicago Cubs 2018

I’ve stayed away from this thread for a few days for a lot of reasons. But with time to digest here we go: The cubs didn’t choke. They won **** near 60% of their games in September. Milwaukee went 20-7 in their last 27 including 8 straight to close out the season. Sometimes you just have to tip your...

I know this is a “get off my lawn” comment, but can kids at least get the name of the schools they are committing to correct? It’s Bradley University, not University of Bradley.

“Old” man rant over

With that said, what are the chances he stays as a commitment if he goes to prep school for a year?

Two things: Bar and Ari are great for each other, the daily competition against each other is pushing them to get better. This is going to be a big part of BU success this year. You will see Bar and Ari on the floor at the same time. It wont be a lot but it will happen, their ability to run the flo...

And not one starting line up thread, what’s this board coming to! So true...so sad. So my 'best 5' at this point would be... Brown DLO Kennel Childs Ari That doesn't mean that's who will start. But I think those are your 5 best players. Barring injury I would be surprised if this isn’t the opening ...

Agreed. I know what you are saying yet you cannot use that as a reason why to keep anyone on your team that has went way overboard on breaking the law and team rules. I believe in second chances especially with young people but you have to draw the line somewhere on these matters. The Cubs certainl...

Brewers didn't win.
Cards 4.5 back. Brewers 5.0 back.
Woah. So they did. Even better. :D
MLB At Bat has Brewers 5 back and Cardinals 5.5 back.

People realize this is only 1 year right? Pete is a senior this year so it doesn’t tie up the scholarship for the future, helps your APR since he is a good student and will graduate, and he’s ******* earned it. Do I want it to happen every year? Obviously not. But in this situation: a walk on that h...

How about the grand compromise - the computer picks the teams, and the committee seeds them. That work for everyone? The human element, eye test, and bias still get their day in the sun. I think this is the best way to make everyone “happy”. Someone is always going to moan and groan, but this way i...

Ole Miss should play Bradley but Bradley shouldn’t play SEMO? I see this kind of bait-and-switching a lot, and it's apparently a way to deflect discussion from the point at hand. And of course, there is also a valid point -- if BU wants to play up, it needs also to play down for up & coming program...

Apparently AA didn’t know Billy Hamilton was the base runner. What a lackadaisical play that cost is a run. After yesterday’s comeback win, we haven’t really come out with a lot of intensity today. the team just went 7-1 on a homestand. It’s ok to actually enjoy games. Also have an almost identical...

Yay!! Another "Cubs way" vs. "Cardinals way" argument! That's exactly what his message board needs!! Wasn't trying to start that personally. Waiting for Addison Russell to do something for this team. He’s only slashing .329/.386/.481 in June for an .867 OPS when the league average is around .730ish. His OPS+ for June is 143.... To be fair, though, most of his production has come over the past few days and most of his hitting has only be...
