Re: US Open

I thought the course looked just awful, especially the greens. I am sure the the USGA will not be allowed to disfigure Pebble Beach in 2019 like they did this one. That wasn’t good golf this weekend. I think a lot of this is much ado about nothing. The USGA doesn’t have a backbone is the problem. P...

Re: Chicago Cubs 2018

The cubs are 19-14 against the division so far, they have the highest team batting average in the entire national league(4th in all of MLB),tribe already hit on the run differential, highest OPS in the entire national league(again 4th in all of MLB), highest OBP in all of MLB. The offense is just fi...

Re: Bradley signs with Under Armor

The black uniforms would be great for every now and then. I thought they looked slick. Under Armor could only make them better.

Re: Paying NCAA Athletes

So what if they have a huge advantage over other students? Other students arent creating income for the University. I’m not suggesting to offer the cash to players. I’m just poking fun at people trying to make the argument that the current system is good because of the “value” of the scholarship. T...

Re: Paying NCAA Athletes

As Jay Bilas has often said. If the "six figure valued education" is such a great deal why not let it stand on its own merit? Everyone knows the "value of the education" is a joke as no school is going to offer the player the supposed cash equivilant . But if it IS such a great deal why not offer i...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

You forgot about the all-important "who else has offered this guy?" Oh good, this line again. I guess I'll have to infer what your actual opinion on the matter is...since you rarely provide anything other than these parroted one-liners that are most often completely taken out of context and loaded ...

Re: Paying NCAA Athletes

A good deal to you is not the same as a good deal to someone else. A group of people “in charge” determined what the “good deal” was and then expected everyone else to think its the same “good deal”. Offer the scholarship or the cash equivalent. Let the player decide what a good deal is for him. Do...

Re: Paying NCAA Athletes

The schools shouldn’t pay the players. The athletes should be able to make whatever they can off their likeness. This also satisfies title IX requirements because all athletes have the same opportunity to earn income without the school having to foot the bill.

Re: 2018-19 Schedule

Fwiw, Bradley posted this on the scheduling board: Bradley is looking for a Top 75 RPI or best available opponent to start a H/H series in Peoria IL. We will be considered a Quadrant 1 game. Early November dates and late December available for dates. Saint Mary's is looking for a home/home. Availab...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

If we landed another (equivalent or better) Eli, DLO or DB, the new recruit would start with the existing Eli, DLO and DB ... Because we would play our 5 best players. Anyone better than those 3 players isnt coming to Bradley in the spring. A power 5 would take a flier on either one of those guys i...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

Based on the fact his only offer before April was from McNeese State? And then one day in the late spring he gets three good ones. Can’t believe I guy this awesome didn’t have more big time offers before April. It’s almost like teams reach when they are left with open rides late in the game. Cough ...

Re: Chicago Cubs 2018

Selection of pitches is key for Darvish. He got murdered on fastballs belt high. That is either on Yu or Willson. As for Arrieta I think it was Boros decision not to come back to the Cubs. In fact I do believe Epstein said he was offered him the same contract, and he said no thanks. Close but not q...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

Why would BU take Ndiaye when they have Koch Bar and Ari Boya? Because N’Diaye is probably going to be better than both of them. Based on the fact his only offer before April was from McNeese State? Re: Chicago Cubs 2018

I think we have found that 1-2 punch at the top of the lineup that can set the table for Bryant, Rizzo(when he gets going), Schwarber, et al. Almora and Baez at the top of the lineup has been great so far. Couldn't agree more! I think perhaps the most noticeable flaw in Maddon's plan is he likes to...

Missouri State also gets 2019 recruit Jamonta Black.
Worth noting he is the high school teammate of one of our current offers Isaiah Mosley.

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

I dont follow recruiting at all, never have. What I know is who is on the roster at the beginning of the season. I dont understand all the consternation about players that we didnt get. As you guys even say, nobody has ever seen any of these guys play. How do you know that we may end up being ok? C...

Re: 2018 BU recruiting

Just a random thought - if half the offers we read about on the 'net are false, and we've had a bunch of guys on campus but haven't offered half of them, what are we doing? Completely mis-evaluating them when we watch them, then get them here and not like them? Or we make offers to guys and they tu...

Since there’s no transfer thread...the biggest transfer surprise of ALL TIME... https://twitter.com/ay5thetruth/status/985915001864179712?s=21 I actually think that if a player's major is no longer offered at a school he should be allowed to transfer without sitting out. Re: Te’jon Lucas transfer

I do think at times we can tend to overvalue JUCOs based on numbers. Obviously the competition isn’t the same and the scoring and style of play is a lot different as well. I'm no BU history buff, but I think we got a bit spoiled in this regard by Jim Les. He recruited JUCOs pretty darn well. Will F...
