Re: Railsplitter Basketball
Yeah, that's a bit of a step down going from CS-8 to Apollo....but it will help Lincoln in other sports, especially football. Re: Railsplitter Basketball
So where did Lincoln get all of the tall trees all of a sudden. 6'5 6'5 and 6'8 and they are all underclass men! They also have 2 6'1 freshmen playing varsity. Homegrown ? What a luxury for Neal. There are just 2 seniors on their roster.
The Railsplitters are in their final s...
Richwoods has now lost two straight OT games to MI teams (Pekin-Metamora). And like Metamora, Pekin had to comeback to get to overtime. Knight need to learn how to close games out. Re: Richwoods Summer Shootout

Metamora edges Washington by 2. Watched game. Could have flipped a coin. Washington guard play fantastic. They are guard heavy. I am curious how the Metamora dynamics will transpire to a regional or conference championship. If they are counting on NK to shoot 30 times a game. I think this was the s...

Re: Richwoods Summer Shootout

Ok Norm. More impressed with Nate or AJ? Just curious. Looks like both played well. Yes they did. That thought never crossed my mind though. One is going to be a junior & the other a senior and each plays a completely different role for their team. Nate is asked to do a lot more, but that night he ...

Re: 2017 BU Recruiting and beyond

After getting my first look at AJ Youngman tonight at the Richwoods Shootout, we need to offer that kid right now and stay all over him. Very impressive basketball player, not just a great shooter.

Re: Richwoods Summer Shootout

Made it out to Richwoods tonight. Got to watch a great game. Metamora jumped all over the Manual early. Nate Kennell had a big first half. The second half belonged to AJ Youngman, the games leading scorer with 20 points, 17 coming in the second half. Although he knocked down trey balls, it was his d...

Re: Richwoods Summer Shootout

I just talked with a buddy of mine who officiates, he that told me Manual looked very impressive this morning. He said that the team speed was blinding. He told me that the Youngman kid was very impressive and changes the dynamics of the team quite a bit. He told me that he has the quickest release ...

Re: Richwoods Summer Shootout

Looking at the PJStar this morning/ Dave Reynolds article mentions that Manual should be the favorite as they pretty much return everyone from last years team. Wow, what a slap in the face to Marcus Sierra, Anton Ivy and Jordan Sample. Those 3 guys all played major roles in the success of last years...

Re: 2016 BU Recruiting and beyond

Nope, I am not close to it at all. Last time I saw him play was probably 5th grade. I meant to go watch him at morton. But he was gone too fast. He just seems to be jumping around a lot, and missed a whole year. If he plays at Manual then great. I heard prep school talk though. That would be another...

I will join the haters and say, I agree with this. It isn't his fault at this age. I know there are a few people on here that are friends with his dad. But I hate the way he is being handled.
Perception is not always reality. It's quite clear that you aren't close to this situation at all.

Re: 2016 BU Recruiting and beyond

Given what you've said FF, would you say he profiles better as a 3? Or would he need to get much stronger for that? I like this kid, but he would struggle mightily in the MVC defensively as well as certain areas offensively. His high school & AAU teams have not help matters as they play primarily z...

Re: 2015 BU Recruiting

Yet how many of them end up transferring? So these are guys in the AAU circuit that sell themselves on placing their kids in great situation, and the recruiting experts are all 2 thumbs up each time a kid and school match, and yet there is a trend of more and more kids transferring. When kids decide...

Great news because it's news or because it's a good recruit....????? He was a 3-star on Scout...they don't just give those out to anyone... Given the amount of turnover we will have and this being Wardle's first go at recruiting here in a rather shortened time period, this is an excellent get! To r...

Richwoods usually first weekend of June. Thank you for the Richwoods Tourney info. And, of course, AJ fit in. He wasn't the problem in Morton, he wouldn't be a problem anywhere! Knowing how Morton is, I had my concerns when they took him to there to begin with. I've known his dad a long time, & was...

Re: AJ Youngman

Canton? Internet rumors are the best, or the worst I suppose. As someone who knows AJ, he is happy at Manual. Prepare for Manual to own basketball in the area the next two years. My guy inside Manual told me AJ Youngman came & fit right in from the jump. Said he's a real hard worker, and better pla...
