Grayson Allen ... again

Post by Big Papa Pump » Sun Jan 08, 2017 9:30 am

Just watched that video. That was deliberate IMO. It looked deliberate attempting to kick him in the junk. He has such a history now that before this season ends, he is going to try doing this crap on someone that is prepared for it, and is going to have no problem getting benched a few games just to beat the ever-loving *** out of him. And would be right in doing so and should!

I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it wasn't a normal bball move.

Who kicks their legs out like that?

Agreed.

It was a move never, if ever, seen.

Even Seth Greenburg dismissed possibility of intentionality. Said he was playing over a screen?!?!

I think both. He clearly was hustling. I also think he purposefully shoved the coach.

That guy would/should be done.

The FSU assistant involved did not feel it was dirty at all.

With his history, I tend to think it was both. I have fallen into people before and tried to grab on to them as not to make it worse. the extended arm at the end pushing the guy makes me think it was a little intentional. Tough to say but at this point, he has earned the result if people believe it was dirty.

Jay Bilas said if best today. Paraphrasing he said Coack K has had a history of recruiting white guys with an edge. To my amazement the ACC, nor the NCAA thinks that these issues are not crossing the line. If anyone watched Asst Coach Capel literally escorting him to the end of the bench last night, the look on Grayson's facing was frightening!

He won't be punished because it is Duke. We know big-time schools usually get better treatment.

I think the ACC should have punished him when he was "suspended" by the team. I also think the Conference should have punished him when he again kicked a player when he came back.

He has a clear pattern of "non-basketball" acts.

I thought the one from this weekend didn't look intentional. As I recall, it looked like he had screen contact from behind and almost stumbled when his leg flew up. However, I understand why people think differently.

The out of bounds, get out of the players way or get plowed. If the FSu coach has no problem with it, I don't either.

Interestingly, Russillo and Kanell just discussed and dismissed the incident with the coach, but they all felt the kick over the weekend was clearly intentional.

So many will disagree on points, but they all agreed that he has brought this onto himself.

Fair enough.

But all the schools in the ACC are big schools. So it's not like big school favors would be shown here.

ACC did review the "kick" that happened after his return from suspension and deemed it ... confusing but not punishable.

"Confusing" means they think he did it intentionally but it was not so blatant that they can say for 100% certainty and do anything about it.

I am just sure that all of us used that "basketball move" when we played. He is just a dirty player that will continue to get by with it until he either hurts someone, or a player retaliates. That will be sooner than later.

Mark my words, someone will retaliate. There is probably a guy or two now that are preparing for it.

ACC reviewed most recent play and said Louisville slap of Allen was "inadvertent."

Ruling should have been "justified."

This was funny. Ted Cruz wins the internet using Allen as a pawn and stops the Deadspin snark cold.
