While I am not that bothered by it personally, I would expect a QB to be more mature and not do it. If I was an NFL scout, it is something I would ask about during interviews for sure.

For all the reasons I've already stated. Can you read? It's bush league, and apparently tolerated, by a football blue blood and a Heisman front runner, no less. Bad form. If you do not understand, I can't explain it to you.
All of these snowflakes getting their feelings hurt by a 21 year old football player they've never met. We need safe spaces to shield us from these offensive actions.
Maybe I missed something but how does calling something bush league mean they are snowflakes and their feelings are hurt?

Seems like two entirely different things
Not at all. You don't call something bush league or have such a negative reaction without emotion being involved.

Being offended by the War Chant song makes people too sensitive and PC run amok. Being offended by what a 21 year old does after a football game is something totally different right??

Being offended by a lyric-less song, being offended that someone is offended by a song, being offended because someone shows a lack of sportsmanship after a game, being offended because someone is offended at the lack of sportsmanship, being offended so much about the results of an election that you march through the streets and riot ...

Peace out.

Tribe....I didn't watch most of the game, this incident has zero impact on my life as I have plenty of other stuff to deal with...

I think it was a bush league act......I don't hate the kid for it, maybe at the end of the day he's a class kid...I have no idea....so No I'm not emotionally involved....I don't think one has to be emotionally involved to have an opinion....either way for that matter

I would say your last example matters in the grand scheme of things. The rest probably matters to a bunch of us nerds on a message board :)

I agree with you. I hope to not post on such things the rest of the college football season.

Agreed. I will try my best as well.

My inner circle at work and a few friends don't really talk about this stuff with me so you guys have to put up with it. Sorry Lefty :)

Just a follow up even though I'm not posting about it, Mayfield has apologized.

My old coach called it bush league. You'd think at a football blue blood like OU they might teach the same thing.
Again. It was heat of the moment. Emotions were running high. I don't see why people care so much. Is it that easy to hurt your feelings?
It is not about hurting any ones feelings, more about lack of class. He is lucky that an Ohio St. player did not clock his -ss. Could have started a real brawl by doing something so stupid.

Illinois will struggle to score against any decent defensive team because of the lack of a decent QB. Crouch is just terrible at passing the ball, too bad because they have at least 2 good receivers and 2 good running backs.

Even though today's game against ISU hasn't gone the way I would have liked, this was one highlight for me from College Gameday this morning:

Final score in the 106th Mid-America Classic in Charleston: ISU 44 EIU 13

3rd straight year in this series the road team is taking the trophy back to their respective campus.

Franks just bailed out McElwain there...... His time management at the end was awful. He's a bad coach.

Very disappointed when I got home and tried to watch game on OVN digital network. The picture was very grainy and there was no sound.
I favor capital punishment. But there are alot of cases where I don't think capital punishment applies (parking violations) and cases where it should be applied (murder, child molestation, illegal HS football recruiting).- BirdWatcher

Yeah. I was disappointed with the coverage as well. That's the first game I've been forced to watch on the OVC Digital Network this season (First two games at Indiana State and NIU were ESPN3 games). I know that one of the EIU related twitter accounts had tweeted out early in the game that there were some technical difficulties. I know the only sound that there really was was the ambient sound from the stadium itself so you were only really able to hear the fans and the PA announcer. The production value seemed to be a bit better when WEIU was doing all of that but they don't ven show the games locally on there anymore. Kinda stinks that you didn't get a chance to hear the EIU announcers call the game as they are usually pretty good with how they call the game.

Hopefully the coverage on there is better next weekend when they host SEMO.

I wanted to double back on this and realize I was off target on some of the criticism of people here. One can find it immature and not classy and also not have their feelings hurt. I was wrong.

I thought Michigan #2 QB has better chance to move ball than #1 but I guess not.

There's a reason he's #2. :P
