Penn State is absolutely better than Notre Dame even without Parsons. Oregon lost a lot of guys to opt outs. They are still better than anything in the ACC other than Clemson and maybe ND.
Penn State is absolutely not better than ND...you are letting their bad game today cloud your judgement. Oregon is the same level as UNC
I think you are just undervaluing Penn State. I would go:

1. Clemson
2. Ohio State
3. Alabama
4. Georgia
5. Penn State
6. Notre Dame

There is a steep gap between 4 and 5
There is a steep gap between 2 and 3. If Alabama didn’t have their history from the past 10 years and you just watched this season I highly doubt you see it that way. Alabama’s defense is not very good, they gave up 40+ and squeaked by an unranked team that just lost to Arkansas. Their is a huge gap between Georgia and Notre Dame? Georgia lost a lot of talent from last year, ND lost a receiver and is better. The two teams played each other one year ago and ND had the call with a chance to win on the final drive in Athens. So outside of them being an SEC team and having good recruiting classes, what makes you think it is different? I don’t know why you think Penn State is so good but we will see this year how good they are without their game changer on defense

Again if you knew anything about Notre Dame you would know many years ago they tried to join the big 10, the Big 10 shut them down so I’m guessing they will never join them. They are in the ACC for other sports because it’s the perfect fit for their Olympic sports

I haven’t had this much fun since you tried to defend Teo’s’ love for his make believe dead girlfriend. 😭

2 x in the 90's, ND turned down the B1G offer to join and instead joined the Big East for all sports except football.

Deflect much? Easy, let’s not bring personal situations
Into this. I may know who you are, not sure that you know me well enough to discuss my wife.

But did he really? Instagram is notorious for having fake people with fake profiles and it wouldn't be ole Teo's first fake girl.

Ah yes, ND wouldnt join the B1G as payback from a slight in the early half of the 20th century as opposed to other $$$$ reasons in more recent history.

Alabama defense played a better 2ND half, but still their achilles heel they must address if they hope to win a title.

The difference is that you think it’s okay to discuss my wife. Sports is sports. Certain lines shouldn’t be crossed.

Really thought this would be the time Georgia takes Alabama. They are such blueballs.

What? You're surprised a team from the state of Georgia chokes in a big game?

I admired the “Ol’ Ball Coach” too. Had a great record, 6 SEC Champs., NC in ’96. But the Meyer years had to be the pinnacle- 2 NCs in 3 years (’06 and ’08). Granted the ’06 team was mostly Ron Zook’s players, but that game was a hugely satisfying 41-14 thrashing of the heavily-favored #1 ranked Buckeyes. Plus watching Tebow for 4 years-Heisman his Soph year and leading them to a NC over Oklahoma in ’08.

Not inconsequentially, Dan Mullen was the OC/QB coach from ’05-’08. Losing him to Miss. St. in ’08, and DC Charley Strong, who was a great recruiter, to Louisville in ’09 started the decline. Then Meyer bails out. I get a headache just thinking about Muschamp and McElwain.

Sorry, I have to laugh at the mere mention of mcelwains name. That diatribe about the dead fish aisle at the winn-dixie was pure comedy gold, man.

Spurier's Gamecocks were the last SEC East team to beat Bama back in 2010.

They had a wide receiver named Alshon Jefferies, the former Bear, and a mediocre quarterback who both played out of their minds that day.

Lattimore ran for 3 TDs that game.

I believe Spurrier is one of the few coaches with a winning record against Saban with multiple head to head matchups like 3-1.
