TAS, did you ever find the 1-68 rankings the NCAA had for the tournament? I'm still curious why Duke would get shipped to Pittsburgh for the 1st 2 rounds rather than go to the closer venue in Nashville. I know Cincy and Xavier both got sent to Nashville though off the top of my head I'd think that Pittsburgh would be a closer venue for both of them than Duke would be.
Looks like the NCAA disagrees. NCAA marked Nashville as better than Pittsburgh for Xavier. And marked Pittsburgh as better than Nashville for Duke. And marked both of these sites as better than Detroit for both Cincy and Xavier, kicking Tennessee out of Nashville and keeping MIchigan St, but not Michigan, in Detroit.

It's a mess.
Well the Michigan/Michigan State one is explainable since Detroit would be the closest one for Purdue and Michigan State. That leaves Michigan being sent to Wichita since, based on how seeding fell, Nashville, and Pittsburgh would have been full of 1 and 2 seeds.

TAS, how do you feel about the tournament expanding from 68 to 72 teams?: http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/arti ... 23724.html

Overall, it's a stupid idea; just go to 96 and be done with it. But there is a solid point on the two First Four sites with one in the west.

72 is better than 68; 64 is better than 72.
That's enough, Reggie Miller.

That's enough, Chris Webber.

Conference USA looking to revamp their scheduling of conference games: http://www.herald-dispatch.com/sports/m ... 8accd.html

I'm guessing this is TAS's reaction to this news:

You're not gonna believe this, but this is.....kinda brilliant and stupid, all at once.

The NCAA has established they care about quality wins, and don't care how many chances you get.....so give yourself more quality win chances!

Possibly 5 games against the same opponent?

Alabama A&M is ineligible in 2018-19 for poor APR.

At least these ideas are better than scheduling the same bad team 6 X’s in one day in order to get to .500%.

Arkansas should be ashamed.
