One big factor is Mike Davis has built a respectable program at Texas Southern

Xavier rallies from a 22-point deficit to ETSU in the 2nd half, and win, ending game on a 24-7 run and 39-15 over the final 14 minutes.

Also Rutgers improves to 10-3 with a 6 point win over #15 Seton Hall.

TAS, you really think Stephen F Austin is a 16 seed? I thought they looked pretty good against Mizzou tonight and thought they might crack a 13 or 14?

They must pay penance for the rest of their conference, which is butt. No notable wins means the committee won't care how they look and they'll blindly put them on the 16 line.

Unless the media narrative takes over. That's their shot at a 13. Hope the talking heads talk them up.

Right, it's not that the Southland isn't generally a better league, but they'll be lucky if anyone in the league plays an SOS above 240.

Then we COULD see our first 16 over 1 this year if that happens....Or a 15 against Kansas as a 2, we havent had a Bill Self 1st round special in a while

Nah a few teams went the bodybag route this year. SFA went light again though.

Right, but figuring in league play, RPI forecast projects the best overall SOS as 241.

Chris Beard is something else. Texas Tech to 13-1 with a convincing road win over Kansas, their first road win since February 2016.

Would the CBI even kick the tires on a team like that?

You wanna be a bracketologist? Here, tell me what to do with this.

Temple (12-10) (4-6) RPI 37 SoS 3
Vital signs: non-con SoS 8, 6-6 R/N, 4-6 vs. Group 1, 1-0 vs. Group 2
Signature wins: N-Auburn, N-Clemson, Wichita St, @SMU
Bad losses: @GW, @LaSalle, Tulane
KenPom 85, 4 Group 3 losses, only one opponent ranked outside Top 200 (and that was a Philly 5 game)
That's enough, Reggie Miller.

If they get there, their resume has 8/9 game written all over it. Which can mean early exit or eventual upset over 1 seed.

Presented with little commentary: Big 10 non-con SoS rankings:

Ohio St 37 (not bad!)
Purdue 95 (not good for a top 5 team)
Wisconsin 127
Illinois 153
Maryland 175
Indiana 181
Michigan St 237
Iowa 242
Minnesota 248
Michigan 252
Northwestern 255
Penn St 276
Nebraska 282
Rutgers 333 (lol)

TAS, so barring some massive meltdown the rest of the way, St. Bonaventure is locked in now, right?

No, this just gets Bonaventure back into the picture. It's not going to take much more than 1 loss to mess this up. Remember, every loss in the A-10 represents a catastrophic loss this season.

Although the Bonnies fit my corollary this year. But I'm not settled on them. They are playing like a tournament level team and in a league where the tourney will come down to whoever beats Rhody.

Dayton isn't a team I like, but I like them in a "last chance saloon" scenario.
