If Kentucky makes it to the national title game, they will not have to face a top 2 seed at any point until the national title game.

Eh, some nondescript city in southwestern Ohio.
You’re right! I forgot about that! Terrible day of college basketball for Cincinnati!

Pretty crazy to think that if anyone takes out Kentucky or Michigan before the Final Four one of these teams will be playing for the National Championship:

Loyola
Kansas St
Texas A&M
Nevada
Gonzaga
Florida State

I can also guarantee you that the talk next week will be all about re-seeding the Sweet 16.

Gonzaga wouldn't really be a surprise...however, it would still be 2 consecutive appearances for them and the WCC.

Did the Kentucky fans buy all the tickets behind the Loyola bench? It is empty right now.

It's just the way the venues are set up. The Loyola fans are on the same side of the court opposite their bench. My guess is that the UK fans will be behind that same bench later tonight with the K-State fans on the same side of the court opposite their bench.

Though to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if UK fans bought up a whole bunch of tickets too. When the SEC tournament was held down in Atlanta on an annual basis, the town did become known as Catlanta with how many UK fans would come down there.

Thank you for the info BlueJay and I agree they probably bought a few.

That was a low scoring 1st half and Nevada had a lot to do with it. They went ice cold for about 8 minutes.

Loyola can’t miss in the 2nd half, I also think Nevada has a little to do with that. Matador D

Loyola up 1 with ball at 0:01.4, no time outs left and Nevada with only 5 team fouls.

Anderson asked Webber what can Nevada do? Best answer from Webber would have been “Hope Loyola calls time out.”

Alumnus - a graduate OR former student of a particular school, college, or university. That makes me an alumnus of Loyola. I took my required speech class at Loyola’s Water Tower campus. Incidentally, Loyola won the men’s volleyball championship in both 2014 and 2015 and are ranked number 6 right now.

There’s something like 23 D1 men’s volleyball teams. Lewis University is currently ranked #8 and has won a D1 national title.

Lewis won the D1 title as a D2 team and their title was later vacated. Up until recently the West Coast held a stranglehold on the titles.

I’m aware it was vacated. They won the title. Not sure what you mean about D2. They compete in men’s volleyball as a D1.

Forgot to mention that the Flyers were national runner up in 2015.

I know what division they are. They won the D1 title in 2003.

I have a close association with Lewis Flyers athletics. :D
