March Madness 2019 Thread

Post by Bluejaygrad03 » Sun Mar 17, 2019 5:42 pm

Brackets are out. Time to get this thread started.

Thoughts on top 4 seeds in each region?
Biggest surprise in terms of seeding?
Biggest issue with the bracket as a whole?
Biggest snub among those who didn't get in?

Of course anything and everything tournament related is worth discussing in here.

I thought the committee did a pretty good job. Interesting that Oregon winning knocked UNC Greensboro out of the tournament. I took off work Thursday and Friday, let the games begin!

And you see why some are picking them to beat Maryland in the first round.

Belmont defeats Temple 81-70. Bruins will face Maryland Thursday afternoon in Jacksonville.

And thus ends the long and storied career of Fran Dunphy. 30 years spent in the greater Philadelphia area coaching at Penn and then Temple.

Fletcher Magee of Wofford is the greatest college shooter I have ever seen. He’s ridiculous. Wofford is really good.

I wonder how many Arizona State fans hurt themselves laughing at the fact Arizona got clobbered by Buffalo last year.

Liberty’s move from Big South to ASun pays off after 1 year. Rising school from the ashes.

Roy Williams is 28-0 in the Round of 64.

He trails Iona by 5 at halftime.

Wanted Tim Cluess in the Valley for years.

So much for North Carolina being down.

SLU getting it handed to them by VA Tech, down 40-18 at half.

You didn’t see Rick Mount or Pete Maravich in college.

Looking at the schedule online for tomorrow, it looks like we'll have the games from Jacksonville and Des Moines on CBS with the Jacksonville games starting at 11 AM CT and the Des Moines games starting at 4:00 PM CT. The games from Hartford on TNT starting at 5:00 PM CT and the games from Salt Lake City on TBS starting at 6:00 PM CT.

Both were fun to watch.....I thought Mount was the better outside shooter though Maravich was more fun all the way around..nobody passed the ball like he did...….
