What are everyone's thoughts on this game? Is Washington that good.....is Dunlap over rated? Should be an interesting game.

Washington 28-14 - game will not be that close but won't be a blowout...Washington will have comfortable lead throughout

I picked Washington +21 but when I hear Washington running clocked them, I won't be shocked.

Panthers win all MI games by at least three TDs. This will be no exception.
I favor capital punishment. But there are alot of cases where I don't think capital punishment applies (parking violations) and cases where it should be applied (murder, child molestation, illegal HS football recruiting).- BirdWatcher

Washington should not be challenged until the playoffs. I just don't see anyone in the Mid-Illini being able to compete with them.

I think the Panthers will be undefeated in the MI. Dunlap 2nd, Birds 3rd. Birds will make it close at Metamora/Panthers, but wont pull it off.....but wont matter, no MI team will advance past the 2nd round.

This Washington team is, in my opinion, better than last years team, and if they stay in 5a, will be poised to make a run at the title. Even if they are pushed to 6a, if they are 9-0 or 8-1, they should be able to win a couple of games. Considering how bad some of the 5-4/6-3 playoff teams are, an 8-1/ 7-2 Dunlap or Metamora could also win two games, imho.

Yes, I agree, especially if Washington is in 5A - they should go far. Now 6A I am not sure how far, at least one and probably two wins. I also think Metamora will win at least one playoff game and possibly two, they are pretty strong. Dunlap might get one win too. It all depends on the matchups. To tell you the truth, I think Morton could also sneak a win in. Outside of a few 5A teams up north, I don't see that many overwhelming teams that the MI cannot match up with. I think the MI is pretty good this year overall.

Even in 6A, I believe they will do well and wouldn’t put it past them to go far.

5A, good possibility of going to the end. We have yet to see Washington’s full performance. I just hope someone gives them a challenge so they play the entire game.

I hope it doesn’t come down to special teams play. Especially, kickoffs. The few times we didn’t get a touchback, I’ve been unimpressed with Washington’s kick off coverage. It’s not good.

.Always room for more. Currently 5 out of the top ten ranked schools in 6A would likely end up in the "southern" lower playoff bracket which Washington would be in. Those teams are Chatham, Community West, Oak Lawn(Richards) SHG, and New Lenox(Providence). Some others lurking including Bloomington (#11) would make that bracket quite spirited.....

Call me old fashioned, but I think both teams should think about trying to win conference 1st and worry about playoffs when/if time comes. Long way to go and the M-I has some solid teams this year. I'm sure the respective coaches' are hammering that point Just saying...

Not to sound harsh but If Washington doesn’t running clock Dunlap, they have no business being ranked the no1 team in the state, and Dunlap dosent deserve even being ranked let alone ranked 2nd IMO...Sycamore and Kaneland should be in top 6

I really doubt Washington will clock Dunlap. Unless Dunlap can’t stop the run game

Don't think it was as chippy as being presented in paper. Just my humble, not good for much, opinion :)

Is this game going to be on 95.5? I'm assuming this would be the game of the week but what do I know.

Only 29 point spread :(
But did hold Dunlap to under 70 yards of total offense so there’s that.
