Gosh, Morton's freshman must be pretty good - smacking Pekin 46-6 tonight. Pekin beat Dunlap last week 30-0. So wow! Last week Morton fresh beat Canton 34-0 or something like that. Potters building a good program!

Pekin up 7-0, opening drive TD. Hope that at least Pekin makes this a competitive game - Dragons opened with TD drive against Sterling and then the roof caved in....

Yup, Nolan 55 yard run - Morton ties game with just a few plays- Pekin can't STOP the Potter - this will be a repeat of last year - Morton will score 50+ points tonight - really wish Dragons coaches could figure out defense and at least SLOW down Potters - Pekin will now turn ball over or go out on downs and Morton will score on another long run and the game will be a blowout - this script is so played out -

Yeah, Morton adjusts, stops Pekin, Potters ball on their own 20 and now will come a HUGE run! We know this script well...another long night for Dragon fans. So I will put my interest in the Washington-Dunlap game although I think the Panthers will win that one easily...

Notre Dame 24 Richwoods 0 - 2nd quarter - feel for Richwoods fans, Pekin fans are used to getting their butts kicked but to see the Knights getting beat up week after week...gotta be hard for Knights fans

Well that's a first - Pekin actually stopped Morton and then scored, Dragons up 14-7. Hopefully this can be a game - might be a shootout like last year...still think Morton's got too much offense, but nice to see Dragons get some O tonight. Wished they could've gotten some last week...you know if Pekin can just make Morton work for their scores and not get quick long runs, this could be a game...

Morton now has three long TD runs - Pekin had 14-7 now losing 21-14. THIS is where the dam breaks - at least Pekin held it off for a quarter but now Morton will run free and wild....good bye playoffs for Pekin!

No, but Morton will win this. Pekin has long, plodding drive, Morton then scores on 2-3 play drive. Example, Pekin scored to make it 21-21 with 2:45 left in first half. You think, well maybe the teams will go in locker room tied or at least it will take Morton the rest of half to score. NO - Morton scores just THIRTY seconds later, 28-21. So far Morton has TWO seventy yards TD runs, a 55 yard TD pass and 40 yard TD run. That is 235 yards on FOUR PLAYS!!!! Honestly, Pekin has NO clue on how to stop teams like Morton. Any team with a little speed to the outside and that's it....

Sterling leads Maple Park Kaneland 28-10 at the half, definetly best team Sterling’s faced all year, Kaneland started with off sides kick and got the ball to start and will get it after the half.

Well, there is where I say good night to all! Morton got second half kick, scored on first play from scrimmage! Honestly the Potters five TDS total 270 yards! Think about that - Pekin isn't even trying to play defense at this point! Now Pekin fumbles on their FIRST play of second half, Morton recovers, about to score to make it 42-21! Just like that....again, how can anyone predict Pekin to go 6-3 before season and how can anyone predict Pekin to beat Morton? Year after year, same thing, bad defense, sloppy play and bad play calling. It is time for this coaching staff, after ten years, to be let go. They've had their chance to build a program. ONE playoff win in ten years and perpetually under achieving teams. Please, let's get a new coach and a fresh start! This team is too good to be a 3-6 or 4-5 team and miss the playoffs for second year in row. But no, Pekin will keep their coaching staff for another TEN years of bad football! Too much...good night to all! And really, probably good bye to this season. Will probably not be posting rest of season unless for OTHER high school teams or item. Friday nights are over for me - really no point at this time. Time to get back to fun stuff to do on Fridays! Good luck to Washington, Metamora, Dunlap and Morton in the playoffs!

Kaneland had not given up a single touchdown in its first 3 games but gave up 6 tonight losing 42-24 to Sterling. Sterling’s offense dominated with an impressive drive that lasted over 9 min to the 9 yard line 1st and goal to end the game.

Limestone kids showed a lot of class after freshman game. Several Limestone players spent several seconds shaking hands and offering support to a Metamora player who had injured a knee during the game. So while the on field results may not be what they want, they are at least successful in teaching them how to be good people.

Rochester 22-14 over Decatur MacArthur. MacArthur is a very good defensive team - aggressive, hit, tackle well, and run to the ball.
Springfield High put 60 on Lanphier
SHG 70-21 over Southeast
Glenwood put 60 on Eisenhower
