Prison riot in Joliet!
I favor capital punishment. But there are alot of cases where I don't think capital punishment applies (parking violations) and cases where it should be applied (murder, child molestation, illegal HS football recruiting).- BirdWatcher

(7) SHG (8-2) @ (2) Washington (10-0)
(3) Glenwood (9-1) @ (11) Crete-Monee (7-3)

This is shaping up to be a very magical year for the Panthers. Get by SHG and Chatham wins, 3 straight home games!!!
I'm no President Trump fan but thank you sir for your comments in regard to the NFL and those protesting our nations anthem. You were spot on!!!

HOw so? Glenwood is away next game, so would have less home games than the Panthers, so would get to host if it gets to that

No possible way Washington gets 3 straight home games. Week three is an automatic away game. If we win this week the only possible home game would be week 4 if Richards has three straight home games.
Sooooooo close to our only perfect week with perfect dual tie-breaker point totals of all time. U sir are a freakin' genius!!! :smart ... :salute ... :notworthy

Likely to happen. I think we will look back at round 2 as the week 3 CS8 teams bow out. I don't see Glenwood beating Crete-Monee, SHG will be handled by the Panthers, and MacArthur has very little to no chance prevailing over Hillcrest. Rochester is the only CS8 team to move on to round 3, which will probably be against their Rte 29 neighbor Taylorville. In other words, the CS8's round 2 is the Mid-Illni's round 1. On to the hardwood, guys!!!!

Oops, my bad. The Panthers will go to Crete-Monee, but that is not all bad. Oak Lawn (Richards) looks like they will hold serve and get three straight home games. Washington going on the road and winning round 3 against Crete puts them at home for the semi-final against Richards. I'd go for getting Richards at home if I were the Panthers. Don't fret about Crete, either. The Panthers will bring a lot more to them than Glenwood will.

On what criteria do you base your Crete prediction?

Glenwood barely beat an average at best Lemont team. Crete-Monee, after being tied with Bloomington 6-6 at the half, outscored the Purple Raiders 34-7 in the second half AT Bloomington, And Crete-Monee is a very tough place to play. I also believe the speed and athleticism of Crete-Monee will prevail. I just don't think Glenwood can match up with them in that department.

I didn't realize that until now as well. Seem to have ruffled some feathers as well with my goof.

How do you think Crete-Monee will be able to handle the 3 headed monster Glenwood has at RB?

Have not seen Crete play this year, but they always bring speed and athleticism to the field. I don't know whether they have a leg up in that department over Glenwood. I will say that for Glenwood to be at their best, their speediest back who just got back from an injury which kept him out for several weeks will have to be close to 100% to give Glenwood a chance. They seem to play a notch higher when both he and the QB are in there.
