Chatham puts a 40 to 16 beat down on Provi Catholic in 6A after taking down Lemont. I have thought them a sleeping tiger for awhile but it still surprised me. I think the Catholic schools' fortunes are on the wane because of enrollment, maybe I'm wrong. JCA Rochester should be interesting

Was looking forward to a JCA-Rochester game. Could JCA getting beat at home be the upset of the playoffs?

I was listening to Edgy Tim on the radio last night. He said he wouldn't be surprised if East St. Louis mercy ruled their way through the 6A playoffs. They're that good. And it also really shouldn't be a surprise considering they have 7 players in the top 100 of 247sports rankings among players in this state. They have a safety signed to go to Texas A&M, a defensive tackle going to Mizzou, a center going to Tennessee, a wide receiver that has offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Kentucky, Nebraska, Kansas, Purdue and Virginia Tech, another wide receiver that has offers from EIU, Indiana State, and WIU, a running back that has offers from Arkansas-Pine Bluff, EIU, and Southern Miss, and a linebacker that has signed with ISU.

Jca losing to Mascoutah has to be the upset of the playoffs. Looks like rochester will make their way to the championship once again, hopefully getting destroyed by rita or rockford!!

They can score on anybody, as they are one of the best programs, if not THE best program in Illinois, and I feel quite the opposite. I hope they go all the way and add yet more hardware to the school trophy case.

Hard to believe JCA losing to a three loss Mascoutah team....but hey, it's exciting to see a team like Mascoutah upset the big boys from Chicago area...
