State IESA 7th grade volleyball

Post by deejay » Tue Mar 13, 2018 12:30 am

Great, but troubling article in Monday PJS by KW on how Mossville 7th grade girls lost in the State Volleyball Tourney. How can a rule allow an inefficient scorekeeper to decide the outcome of a game? People in charge must be able to override a decision such as this. What a cop out on behalf of the IESA. They must have gotten guidance from the NCAA. Mr. Endsley and crew needs to publicly tell these girls that they screwed up. Just gross negligence on their part.

Yes a sad situation for sure. I have to say the big issue is hosts aren’t getting qualified workers to run the book and clock.

I don't know if I have ever heard of such a situation - really sad

Was talking to a parent and Morton 8th Grade has gone to State two years in a row, now. They placed 4th.
I guess there were as many as SIX books being kept at a time during the tournament (Two were "official" and then each team was keeping a book or two).
I guess they don't want this to ever happen again.
