Congrats to Morton

With Pekin beating Limestone, Morton is the MI volleyball champion for 2018. The top four teams in the MI were pretty good this year with all four winning over 20 games. Of course the flip side is that three MI teams lost over 20 games! :D Morton and Limestone were tied 11-2 before last night when Pekin sort of upset the Rockets. I say sort of because Pekin also beat Morton this year so the Dragons were capable of beating the top teams. Pekin though lost to Dunlap (5-9 in league) and twice to Metamora (neither games competitive). Metamora had a rough start in the MI, I believe going something like 0-4 or 1-4 before catching fire and winning 8 of their last 9 games conference games. Metamora and Pekin ended up tied for third with 9-5 records. It would seem that Metamora has a bright future with several outstanding young players...

Can the Potters beat an LP team who they have already lost to and can the Lady Chiefs beat a Eureka team that has already beaten them three times? Good luck to both teams on Thursday!

I was at the game tonight, Sterling dominated, I normally only post on Sterling football but saw this category and thought I’d chirp in, Sterling has a lot of talent and 2 of them are only sophomores! Congrats to Morton on a good season.
