Maybe if she could run with some of the faster 3A girls. I think her time will be very similar at the state meet.

Entirely possible...and she still may not be the fastest that day.
Judy Pendergast of Naperville North went 16:05 today in her conference winning effort.
Certainly hope MJ is smokin' fast...she deserves it.

...or there are torrential rains, or snow, or 80-degrees and then all bets are off. That's where CC always has those question marks...

My guess her time goes the other way and she runs 16:20's.

I think times go up, especially for her, only if due to weather or illness. No way Dan Gray had her taper training at all for a conference meet that she was always going to win by 90 seconds or more. I suspect at least a little faster at state, but as a previous poster noted, weather is the huge unknown for cross country.

She's peaking for nationals this year! 6 weeks later is the only reason she started slow. There's not one Illinois girl who wants to race against her come peak season. Has she ever choked???? 17:07 3rd state freshman, 2nd at state sophomore to a foreigner, last year state champ 2nd fastest ever 16:12 then 12th at nationals!!! Please sick or weather, it's 80 out now and rain one day last month. In 15 days she's circled that day. Lol. :fro
