Harlem Supersectional- Larson hit a '3' under a minute to send game into OT. G led 63-60, Harlem made 2 FTs to lead 65-64 at 12 sec. mark. Pacheco rolled to the basket, Bicego got her the ball, Sarah laid it in with 3 secs.. Harlem couldn't get off a shot-66-65.

Loyola- Howard hit a big '3' at the end of the 2nd qtr. to bring G back to 10 at the half. Jaque hit a '3' at under 1 1/2 mins. in 4th to give G a 54-52 lead. Olga hit 2 FTs to tie at 54. Setting the stage for Larson's put-back at the buzzer.

As Massey mentioned, 11 of 15 players spent the fall in open gym.
This year, 7 of the top 8 players(Meinert, Mixon, Range, Huppenbauer, Campbell, Legge, Mccarthy) are spending the fall on the volleyball court.

Forgot to mention that Harlem was even bigger than Loyola. All-State G Yanni-6'1"; starting Fs- Cazy 6'4', Eckberg 6'3"; off the bench-F Mosier 6'3".

Harlem blocked 14 shots. But Sarah, Megan, and Jenny did what you're supposed to do- keep taking the ball right at the big girls. It paid off as Yanni and Cazy fouled out.

A few days later, a player told me Massey hadn't shown them any tape as they prepared for the game. She said now she understood why.
