East Peoria was leading Metamora at half 23-19. Metamora wins 55-49. My calculator overheated as I was adding up free throw misses by EP. Metamora shot poorly, Dietz did not play. ( I heard twisted ankle)

Washington leading East Peoria 23-11 at half. EP had the ball down 45-43 with 45 seconds. Missed an open 3 pointer. Washington wins 49-43. If Washington can stay together will be really good in a couple years

Morton beat Washington last night 42-23. They are 8-1with only loss to Chathum-Glenwood in OT. Next game is next Friday at Metamora...Should be a good game and a test for both teams.

Just some clarification on Caleb Kizer the transfer to Metamora... he doesn’t look like a freshman because he is a junior. He was a regular varsity bench player as a sophomore at Linestone last year. He has a younger brother in 8th grade who is 6’5” that still plays Hollis. He’s a real beast and will probably be a Redbird next year too. Also, on another subject, Pekin has two seniors, 6’8” Patrick Torrey and another kid who just joined the team this year. Don’t know his name, but judging from the box scores doesn’t seem to play much. Not surprising Pekin fell back in the low scoring rut they are alway in. Saw them play several games at the TOC last year and this year when they scored high 60s and even in to 70s with some good athletes and competed well against good teams. Seems they do better playing with pace. Morton looks to have a full roster again. Crider and Olden will be on the top of every scouting report. Not sure they have the knock down sniper yet that they seem to find every year in their ranks.. but they are good regardless.
