Washington beats EP tonight 68-41 to guarantee at least a share of the conference title. 10th title in 13 years under Coach Brown
And sets up an almost dream scenario for the Mid-Illini with Washington playing at the Potter Dome on the final night of the regular season with a chance to deny Morton a share of the conference championship. Sometimes the schedulers get lucky.
I wouldn't mind seeing Washington sit some starters and let some other guys play. I just don't want to see anyone get hurt in a game that doesn't really matter at this point for Washington.

Why would any team not play full strength to win an outright conference championship? :drunk

Pointless game in my opinion.

Pointless? It's a conference title game. How is that pointless? I get that you want to be strong in post season but realistically every team begins the season with a goal of winning a conference title.

Washington already has part of the title no matter what. Goal accomplished. As a fan I've already moved on from the regular season to hopefully seeing the Panthers do bigger things

I will say I think there is a zero percent chance of Washington resting any starters and they will be going for the win.

There is a big difference between winning the conference outright and sharing a title.

I'd argue that this is the most important game of the season for Washington (not counting regionals).

So true, with no disrespect to the other gentleman a shared title is better than no title, but is nothing compared to an outright title.

Always an important game when you can deny a rival a share of a crown.

I favor capital punishment. But there are alot of cases where I don't think capital punishment applies (parking violations) and cases where it should be applied (murder, child molestation, illegal HS football recruiting).- BirdWatcher

Morton 13-1
Washington 13-1

Pekin beat both but not when it mattered for conference. Dragons caught a bit of Pekin Insurance Holiday magic those two games.

Outside of Gudet, not many Washington grown players get a lot of playing time.
