Ping and Steve Goers were neck-and-neck for many years with Coach Goers actually passing Dick Van Scyoc first. Coach Goers retired, somewhat unexpectedly at the end of 2011.

A few years ago some changes were happening at my work. Coach Goers heard and called to offer assistance if I needed it. Class act.

I wonder if Ping will retire now that he's passed 1,000?

My guess is he will die on the sidelines before he would ever retire.
