class 3a regional/sectional hosts

Post by ging » Mon Nov 20, 2017 8:54 am

just when i thought the ihsa couldn't mess this up any worse than they already have, i present to you the class 3a regional and sectional hosts for 2017-18...

Lasalle-Peru Sectional (there is no sectional in Peoria for the first time in how long?)

Regional Sites:
Dunlap
Peoria (Manual)
Stillman Valley
Washington

honest question - do any of you peoria area folks know where stillman valley is without looking it up?

assuming the teams in the sectional are the same as the past few years, the schools that end up playing at stillman valley will all be at least 45 minutes away. and why is dunlap hosting again so soon? they hosted in 2015-16.

Yes, I had to look it up. Makes no sense putting Peoria / Bloomington area schools in a LP sectional.

Heck, Bloomington / Peoria should host a super sectional for that matter. Or put them in the Springfield super

Just for comparison's sake, the Springfield area teams will likely feed into a sectional at Decatur Eisenhower with the regionals feeding into that sectional being at Decatur MacArthur, Mahomet-Seymour, Paris, and Rochester.

Back in 2007 the IHSA sent Lincoln to the Streator Regional and after winning that they had to go to Ottawa Sectional. Here's the proof in the Lincoln schedule that year. http://www.railerbasketball.com/index.p ... y-schedule

I remember it being a bad winter and one of the parents of the players got in a bad accident due to the weather.

This is imported Italian nylon and it's a special edition limited silk print and it was done by this really famous design artist.
