Big upset by the Potters! That was fun!

BW and Dan Muller were in attendance to watch the Moline guard, but might have got a good glimpse of a big Morton freshman who rebounded with authority, hit a step back three and played great defense. Great team win and keep it up tonight!

It's been a great tournament, so far. All 3 of Morton's games obviously could have gone either way.

I complained about Morton's seed when the bracket first came out.
Then after the Metamora game, I thought the Potters might only play 1 game upstairs and spend the rest of the tournament in the basement.
But everything has worked out just fine.

Saw the semi final last night. Pretty impressive in second half when you saw the outcome just not sure of score. Potters have played well in spurts, but will need to shoot and defend well tonight. Will have the crowd on its side, should be fun. Are the Ciravino’s brothers?

Mt Carmel 62 Morton 56. Morton outscored 22-7 by undefeated Caravan in 4th quarter. Great crowd for the championship, tournament well run despite having to early shuffle after losing 3 teams. Great job and a well deserved thanks everyone involved.

I mentioned it a couple of days ago, but what a great event the Pekin Insurance Holiday Tournament is. I'm glad that Morton is able to hold a spot each year. I tend to take time off form work the week between Christmas and New Year, so it's a fun way to spend some time. It also gives me a good reason to patronize one of the sponsors that happens to be my favorite spot in Pekin. Well done to all involved!
