Great pitching performance

Post by phyneous_j_whoopie »

Princeville senior and Bradley recruit Mitchell Janssen threw a 3-hit shut-out with 18 strike-outs against ROWVA/Williamsfield last night. Janssen has 26K's in 14 innings this season. The Princes are off to their best start since 2006!

Really good outing against combined Rowva/Billtown who normally have good ball players by themselves.

Thought... 7 innings and 18 strikeouts... How many pitches did he throw? Isn't it still March? I hope his pitches were incredibly efficient, and he didn't throw northward of 100 pitches this early in the season. It's crazy for young kids to be throwing more than 70-75 pitches this early in the season. That 100 mark shouldn't be touched until midseason IMO. I'm not attacking his coach because I have no idea what he ended at, but that seems like it'd be high.
