What are you most looking forward to this year?

Post by pndbaseball12 » Tue Sep 12, 2017 9:32 am

Title says it all, what are you most excited about for this season?

Mine is a combination of seeing if the freshmen can develop from a solid 1st campaign and if the recruiting level has taken the next step in Wardle's 3rd year.

Really looking forward to seeing how last year's frosh have improved. What kind of leadership Donte Thomas will bring in his senior year.

But most of all, I'm looking forward to winning again. :zcool

A top 3 finish in a weak valley this year. We've suffered long enough

Consistency, more wins, and a surprise breakout player...

You and squirrel said what I'd have said. Also, I expect to see year over year improvement in team fundamentals.

Improvement from our returning players in all areas of their game. The competition for playing time should be at an all time high in quite sometime which is a good thing to have in the staffs third season. Have not heard any summer reports as far as our new players but I think they have the ability to help immediately.

Lundy will be a big surprise to some folks and will give Coach a great deal of flexibility with his lineup.

I am looking forward to watching a team that isn't one of the youngest in the country. There is JR and SR leadership for the first time in a few years. I expect to see a lot more wins and a lot of solid basketball played by the guys in red. I said it before and haven't changed my mind, I expect a top 3 MVC finish.

Im also looking forward to the announcement of that tourney bracket...If I'm the AD, I'm lining up contingency plans and dates to play those teams either home or away so we don't lose our 13 game total non-con. It's very troubling not to have pairings out by now and publicity. I smell el foldo

Looking forward to Childs

I think Stipanovich could redshirt, but am looking forward to him surprising like Kennell did last year.

Looking forward to more wins than losses.

I'm looking forward to our first legitimate chance at a postseason tournament in a very long time.

Much of this has already been said, but:

- Consistency
- Tangible Growth
- Guys pushing each other for minutes and starting spots
- Being able to make teams play to our pace & style
- Being feared inside Carver Arena again
- Playing meaningful games in February
- Getting back to our Arch Madness opening on Friday
- Having 2-3 guys have breakout seasons
- A passion for success from not only the coaches, but the players as well

Having one of the last 4 games in Feb to actually mean something.

Starting the conference tournament on Friday.
