Drake had a 10 point lead with about 3 min to play...

Now, its tied with 11 seconds to go.

Pretty good watch really.

And they've done it all with next to nothing from Timmer.

Let the kids go on spring break Niko. They look like they're already there...

Arogundade a career high 25 and McGlynn 22...

The rest were pretty much there....Timmer made 1 shot

Drake hangs on 80-73 in OT.

That might have been the worst game of Timmer's career. But he was playing at 1pm on a Monday in an EIEIO tournament so...

It looked quite good and sounded good on tv....and I guarantee you that not many who did watch knew about any of that.

For what its worth, they just came on for the Liberty game and said classes were cancelled today...

Anyone ever think they would dare do such a thing at Bradley

Scottie James and Liberty winning their game on CBS SN. Scottie looks good.

Well I guess I was wrong, I thought everyone would be thrilled about the summer trip. I like the idea for the development of next years team and the fact we will have something to talk about this summer. No one happy to hear this? If not why?

The end of that Hartford-San Diego game was something. The walk-ons for both teams I don’t think would win Bradley intramurals. I mean the kids looked like they were in junior high.

Yes, why would you talk about a summer trip inside a thread talking about postseason tournaments... :scratch

Summer trips really aren't that exciting

Sure it's exciting for the guys and the team, but it's not like most of us are travelling with them. Beat up on non-competitive teams. :yawn4

Sure, I get the benefits of them and think they're great from that standpoint. But from a fan standpoint, they offer nothing.

Haven't heard. North Korea maybe? Maybe Dennis Rodman can be part of the travelling party and work with our bigs on rebounding.

Didn't the athletic department do a special practice thing before the last time the mens basketball team went on a foreign trip? I can't remember if it was Wardle or Geno though.

There are 2 reasons I put the summer trip in this thread. 1, this is the thread I mentioned earlier that there was a reason BU wasn’t spending money on an eieio tourney. 2) because I am old and lazy.

I think there is a lot in this summer trip for fans. Not sure if there will be an open practice but if the NCAA allows I would assume there will be. I assume there will be a fan trip available if you are old and retired like me! And last but not least Bradley basketball will be in the news in the summer more than usual. Maybe we get a chance to see the new incoming kids or at least see how they fit in during the games if the NCAA allows them to participate.

I think this is much better development for next years team than a eieio tourney.

Absolutely. Paying buy game rates to play buy game level teams isn't a great idea for this group this year. There will be 4 new players next year, plus Pittman back, so a preseason trip is a much better decision.

YES! And yet another reason why our expectations for success should ratchet up another notch for next season. Year 4 has always been about a top 3 MVC and NIT appearance. No doubt there's a chance to exceed that expectation.

Think Geno and wasn’t it a fundraiser also....???
So I was in the airport the other day and I saw AL B., PM me if you want more details.

Our last 3 tours really had minimal, if any, benefit at all:

The Bahamas tour team finished 12-20.
The Brazil tour team finished 21-15 (and needed 3 CIT wins to get there).
The Canada tour team finished 13-15 (although I know a couple doctors claim that team finished 18-15 because of those 5 Canada wins)

I know there is the potential for benefit there, and I think next year's team is definitely one that can really capitalize from such a trip. But it can also have the negative possibility of really prolonging the season.
