Dan Monson gets a 5-year extension. So your Big West coaching lineup at present. Pretty solid lineup:

Jim Les (Davis)
Mark Gottfried (Northridge)
Dan Monson (The Beach)
Russell Turner (Irvine)
Joe Pasternack (UCSB)
Eran Ganot (Hawaii)
Dedrique Taylor (Fullerton)
David Patrick (Riverside)
Joe Callero (Cal Poly)
Rick Croy (Cal Baptist) 104-23 in his 4 years at CBU in DII
Isn't Bakersfield making the move to the Big West next year? They were down last year but have been pretty good the last few years.
Yep, you're right. Bakersfield to the Big West, Cal Baptist is going WAC.

Fixed above.

Dave Dickerson will be the next head coach at USC Upstate:
https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-sta ... sc-upstate

Dickerson had been associate head coach at Ohio State from 2010-2017, and the former head coach at Tulane from 2005-2010, but never managed to win more than 17 games in any season, compiling a 71-85 overall record. Prior to Tulane he was an assistant coach for 9 years with Gary Williams at Maryland.

Fran Dunphy, Temple Just one NCAA appearance since moving to AAC, and just 1 game over .500 overall over last 2 seasons.
Fran Dunphy will retire from Temple after next season, and Aaron McKie will be his successor.

Bryant has hired Iona assistant Jared Grasso. Grasso was also an assistant at Fordham with Dereck Whittenberg, serving as interim head coach when Whittenberg was fired early in the 2009-10 season. Grasso went 1-22 the remainder of that season. But he has been seen as central to Cluess' success at Iona.

Maine's new coach announced his staff today, and Edniesha Curry has been named an assistant coach, and as such becomes the only full-time woman assistant coach in DI men's hoops.

Even after Cross led UTA to the best season in program history last season the coach's end-of-year meeting with Baker didn't go well. Voices were raised amid Baker telling Cross he wanted UTA to be the "next Gonzaga."

A late AP report from within the hour states that High Point will hire Tubby Smith to be its next basketball coach
https://www.foxsports.com/college-baske ... ach-032618
I would not be surprised if there is a gentleman's agreement for one of his sons to take over the HPU HC job upon Tubby's retirement. I'd be surprised if the son that was just fired is not an assistant coach.
Well, G.G. is joining his staff.

Marist hired St. Peter's head coach John Dunne. Dunne only had 3 over .500 seasons in 12 years with the Peacocks. Beilein and Wagner head coach Bashir Mason were both believed to finalists, if not even both offered, but declined. Holy cow what a mess this school is-and they should easily be able to be good.

Buzz must love the mountain lifestyle as he was quite successful at App St. I think he'd be a great hire there. Hel!, keep him away from the ocean 'cause he was a miserable failure at UNC Wilmington. lol

Current vacancies (including ECU until something more official):

Chicago State
Delaware State
Detroit
East Carolina
FIU
Fresno St
LaSalle
Rhode Island
South Dakota
St. Peter's
UNC Asheville
UT Arlington

ECU opened mid-season. Fresno St was one of the first to lose their coach to another school. Chicago St and Delaware St don't really move any dials.

Both A10 jobs are interesting.

ECU has the potential to open up FGCU, which would be interesting.

Matt Woodley could be returning to Des Moines as an assistant coach. Drake alum from '00 has fairly impressive resume, working with Kermit Davis and MTSU, Tony Bennett at WaSU and UVA, and most recently at Pitt with Stallings.

Pitt has a guy that averaged a double-double out there on the transfer market: Ryan Luther averaged 12 and 10 in over 30 minutes before going down after 10 games with a season-ending injury his senior season. Would be a potential grad transfer, but would also need to receive a medical/hardship waiver.
