Honest question here: If there is a staff shakeup this offseason, what are everyone's thoughts about bringing Broussard back?

Steve Alford fired.
Thought it was interesting that the final straw for UCLA was a 15 point loss to Liberty and former BU assistant coach Ritchie McKay.

How ironic for Broussard if he gets the interim gig.

He didn't. They passed over the associate head coach and gave the interim job to Murry Bartow.

I always thought that Alford was not a good fit for UCLA. They needed more showtime then angry white man. The disciplinarian guy works better in the mid-west and that is starting to get old as well these days.

I still think Wardle is good for BU unless Peoria as a whole has changed. He just needs to get a top notch recruiter and go after guys/families that fit his style. That means taking a flyer overseas (he does) and recruiting predominately in the mid-west.

I’m guessing Alford’s skin color was also an issue in 2014, 15 and 17 when he went to the sweet 16?

Was the same statement made when Stanford fired Johnny Dawkins or when Washington fired Lorenzo Romar or Oregon State fired Craig Robinson?

Just being curious but if Alford were black would this forum allow such a blanted racist comment to exist?

I don’t know Alford don’t care about UCLA but I find your statement beyond offensive.

I guarantee SFP meant no offense. He and I are the same age so I think it's just a generational thing houston. I get why that might offend you but, honestly, guys our age tend to be a little less PC than the 40 and under crowd. SFP's statement would be mild for someone who came of age in the 80's. Trust me, "angry white man" is nothing more than an expression and certainly not meant to be racist. I certainly didn't take it that way.

LOL - Thank you B4L for taking up for me. Houston there's not a racist bone in my body. I guess you could take it as reverse racism so if I offended you in any way I'll apologize right now. Alford is a white man who does go around and acts angry. I guess I could have said just an angry man or I could have described him with other words. Again I apologize to you and anyone else I may have offended. Also, Johnny Dawkins or Lorenzo Romar or Craig Robinson never had that angry temperament.

Yes. Glad you’re finally getting it. :-)
“Bradley is a dream job for me. Why Bradley? It’s very simple. I knew all about Bradley growing up. I played at Carver Arena a couple of times. We didn’t win those games, but I plan on winning a lot there in the future.” - Brian Wardle, March 27, 2015
