It is going to boil down to which teams improve the most in a short time, the first part of the schedule is very favorable for BU if they can correct the defensive lapses, stupid turnovers and score the ball consistently.
Not only improvement, but mainly CONSISTENCY.

I have seen so many league teams that flip a switch not just game to game, but half to half.

If I had to guess, I would say right now Bradley looks like a 7-8 win league squad, but that can not only change based on changes we make and becoming more consistent, but it can also change greatly based on who shows up for the opposition when we play teams.

Watch the other teams and tell me who the favorites are, because right now, it is harder to pick than ever, and it changes game by game.
---If you need it, you don't have it. If you have it you don't need it. But if you need and you don't have it, you want it. If you don't have any of it, then you really don't know how to get more to get started then do you?---

That wouldn’t surprise me either. Loyola still has the horses and is getting healthy. They’re better man-for-man than Drake. The Trees perimeter play should have them in it all year.

The downstate Illinois schools (south of I-80) are probably battling between the Jim Les Classic and the Death Match.

Who are we going to beat on the road? Not sure we will beat anyone. Looks like Drake and Indiana State are playing as good as anyone in the Valley, those games could be 4 losses for Bradley. Has DLO's energy level fallen a little lately? Are Boyas minutes keeping Childs from getting the ball down low? Something is not clicking, but it could be we just are not as talented as many thought we were.

I'm going to go with BU finishes to play the 4-5 game. Wardle's track record says as much. His teams have shown growth between the first half into Valley play. We can thrive in the Valley this year if EC steps up his game in the paint. He has the biggest upside on the team and if he plays to his capability he may just drag a few others to start playing better ball.

EC definitely needs to be better yet our guard play will be instrumental in how far we go, Ind. St. has virtually no inside game yet their guards are so good at hitting 3 point shots which is why they are winning period. Drake is pretty much doing it the same way which is why it is imperative for our guards to do much better at the 3 point line.

I'm going with the guy with the biggest upside. If he can get his inside game going that will give our shooters the needed time to make shots. Our shooters will not miraculously get better and then open up the paint. I get though what you're saying. It would be nice to get better guard play.

The guard play will have to come first. Until that changes Eli will get doubled every time he touches it in league games.

We got the old proverbial, the chicken or the egg?" question. How about them both coming out at the same time. Still believe it will have to be EC getting hot then seeing the double team coming his way and passing it up. We also have to do a much better job not just finding that first pass but the next one and the next one until we get a decent look. Too much dribbling from this team if you ask me.

The dribbling too much is a huge problem, we definitely passed the ball much better last season, J.H. is a huge problem in this area as he dribbles the ball way too much and telegraphs most of his passes. Still trying to figure out how he gets minutes when he contributes so little on both ends of the floor. Tribe needs to tell us why Jayden plays so much as he knows everything

Limited talent but Wardle lets more games slip away with poor asset management.

Drake 13-5
SIU 12-6
INST 12-6
Loyola 12-6
ILST 9-9
BU 9-9
UE 7-11
VU 6-12
MOST 5-13
UNI 5-13

Sweep UNI, swept by Drake, 7-0/0-7 vs everyone else.

Its really become pretty simple...

The more time Eli spends on the perimeter and taking shots, the more Jayden Hodgson plays, and the more cold streaks Nate goes through and not getting him shots, the less games we will win in the league.

Darrell will get his, DLO will chip in here and there, and even Koch will help out.

Our league season relies on the production of 2 players and how much more consistent they are in filling the stat sheet in all the important areas and that is Eli and Nate.
---If you need it, you don't have it. If you have it you don't need it. But if you need and you don't have it, you want it. If you don't have any of it, then you really don't know how to get more to get started then do you?---
