I guess he's missing. No show for game tonight.

He must have had a graduation or a meeting to attend or perhaps a gangbang.

Rose not playing because he didn't want to should surprise no one who paid any attention while he was in Chicago. What is he pushing for, a trade to be the back up PG in Cleveland?

The only feasible excuse I can think of is either a death in the family or an impending death of an immediate family member. I would think in either of those scenarios there would be no reason not to relate that to the public and certainly no reason why Rose would not relate that to the team instead of just not showing up.

If this is just Derek being Derrick being Derrick I believe we should cue up the "He should not play unless he wants to" argument that we had on here a few years back. Either way I am glad this headache no longer belongs to the Bulls.
I favor capital punishment. But there are alot of cases where I don't think capital punishment applies (parking violations) and cases where it should be applied (murder, child molestation, illegal HS football recruiting).- BirdWatcher

Rose as MVP is a distant memory.
This is imported Italian nylon and it's a special edition limited silk print and it was done by this really famous design artist.

I know that Rose will have a lot of those features on him when his career is over - in the "what if" or "poster boy for terrible career management" type roles.

But he will also be the first ever NBA MVP that doesn't make the hall of fame.

He didn't deserve that MVP. LeBron James should have and would have won except it was his first year in Miami. As I recall, he was one of worst MVPs in NBA history in PER, efficiency, etc.

Lew Alcindor won MVP but isn't in HOF. Does that count? ;)

Alcindor was hurt by the fact that his best years were with the Bucks.

That MVP might have been the worst thing to ever happen to him. It made him eligible for that huge contract extension. It raised expectations to a huge level.

He looked a lot like that actor in the Airplane movie.

Rumor is the Bucks traded him because he only tried in the playoffs.

What happened to Lew Alcindor? Don't know but he really resembled the actor Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who had a role in the 1980 movie Airplane.
