Boy is this a BAD baseball team right now.

Games like this happen for every team.

Shame for it to happen to Hudson though as he'd been pitching well for most of this month.

Not just talking about this game. It's a bad team. Worst offensive month for the franchise since 2001.

Who knows how the rest of the season will go but if the team starts to go on a run in the 2nd half of the season, we may look back at Edman's home run in last night's game as the turning point in the season.

Cardinals make a series of moves. Carpenter activated off DL with Molina heading to the DL. They've purchased the contract of Chasen Shreve from Memphis and will also call up Andrew Knizner. They've also sent Tyler Webb and Rangel Ravelo back down to Memphis.

We shall see if Knizer is ready. Hope so. Carp will no doubt be inserted right back in at 3b replacing Edmon/Munoz both of whom are better options. If the Cardinals don't make a trade before the deadline, they have no shot. I fully expect the Cubs to start to pull away. All season the mantra has been how poorly weve played yet are still just 2-3-4 games out of first place..But at that same time we also have been 2-3-4 out of last place. I actually think we have a way better chance at last place than first place.
Thanks J.J. for what I consider sound advice!

I don’t want the Cardinals to trade any of their top level prospects. Not for 77 games of a player. Those moves rarely make sense and rarely end up positive.

Most of the talk I've seen online have them interested in players, especially starting pitchers, that are controllable after this season. Couple names I saw mentioned include Zach Wheeler and Trevor Bauer.

Kolten Wong strikes out with the bases loaded again. Please trade him now... He hasn't improved his hitting since getting to the major leagues and he isn't going to. .245 hitter who is not clutch, he doesn't cut the mustard. :zsurr :help

I'll take .240...250 from a gold glove calibur 2b all day, If the rest of the lineup is producing at acceptable levels. But thats not happening which makes Wong look worse to some. Take a good look at the production coming from the corner infield spots, or ss, or cf, or c. There is your problem

255 career complete games. Think about that stat for awhile.

Bauer would be a good move depending on the cost. Wheeler would be beyond dumb. He can not stay healthy
