For those of you that listen to the Blackhawks on 720 WGN, there will be a new voice hosting the pre and post game and intermission shows as Chris Boden, formerly of CSN (Now NBC Sports) Chicago, will be taking over that position from Judd Sirott. Sirott has been hired as the new radio play-by-play voice of the Boston Bruins.

Welcome back Saad. Welcome back Sharp. Welcome back the stretch pass. That 1st period was as good as I’ve seen the Hawks. 2nd period penalties not so much.

Huge: Artem Anisimov's success at the dot.

Getting away from all the scoring and looking deeper into the box score, something that flew under the radar was Anisimov's success at the faceoff circle. That was a huge concern for him last season, when he won only 45.1 percent of his draws.

Consistency is his biggest issue, but he won 15 of 21 faceoffs (71.5 percent) in a third-line role to open the season. Great start.

Anisimov continues his success tonight in the circle.

Chicago leads 4 - 1 after two.

Nick Schmaltz hurt again early in the game.

Schmaltz to not travel with the team to Toronto and Montreal but may return to the lineup on Thursday. He may have concussion like symptoms in what is described as an upper body injury.

Not Blackhawks but still NHL related...

The Traveling Jagrs were being interviewed when the man they admire decided to surprise them:

And outplayed in the first in Montreal until Chicago scores two late period tallies to take a 2 - 1 lead. Still outshot 16 - 7. Alex DeBrincat scores his first NHL goal.

We outshoot the Habs 12 - 10 in the second and score the only goal to make it 3 - 1. Anisimov gets the goal with Saad getting one assist and DeBrincat the other, his first in the NHL.

Outplayed in the third but hang on to win 3 - 1. Crow was spectacular making 41 saves.
