ESPN's Basketball Power Index is projecting that the Bulls will be the worst team in the NBA this upcoming season (23-59):

And I hope they keep Wade for every game of it and don't buy him out.

There is still an NBA team in Chicago?
I favor capital punishment. But there are alot of cases where I don't think capital punishment applies (parking violations) and cases where it should be applied (murder, child molestation, illegal HS football recruiting).- BirdWatcher

So annoyed Bulls bought out Wade. Should have kept him at the end of the bench.

And what purpose would that have served? Team is in the beginning of a massive rebuild. Unless he was gonna be a starter, he's better off being bought out and playing out the end of his career somewhere else.

Wade isn't going to help the Cavs, he is done. He never played defense and cant shoot.

Never played defense and yet was NBA-all defensive second time earlier in his career. Can't shoot and yet he has a .484 career FG percentage. Granted he's never been a real strong 3 point shooter but he won't be asked to do that in Cleveland.

Did you watch him play last year? He made 2nd team all defense 8 years ago, Im not sure how that's relevant today, don't think he will be guarding Curry in the finals. Shaq has a career fg % of 58%, would you consider him a good shooter?

Not a Wade fan, but a wing that shoots 48% for a career isn't bad. In fact, Wade's shooting percentages for his career are on par with Jordan's the greatest player of all time. Throwing Shaq's shooting percentages in there is idiotic because he is a completely different player in a different position.

If you want to say Wade was a disappointing defender for his career considering his athleticism, then you could make an argument. Also, based on his age and declining shooting percentages year over year you could definitely make a case that he is washed up.

Wade's FG% is very good, that doesn't make him a great shooter. Early in his career, he got to the rim all the time. He never was and isn't a quality 3 pt shooter. He is old now so he cant get to the rim as much, which doesn't make him very useful on a team where he is never going to have the ball for isolations. Cavs would have been better off paying for a stand still 3 pt shooter who can or wants to play defense

Somewhat humorous (in a way) column by Jim Benson at the Pantagraph regarding the upcoming Bulls season:

If the reports that Portis *** punched Mirotic are accurate, he should press charges and file for a restraining order. Portis should be suspended for at least a season. The Bulls should have cut him immediately and kicked him out of the building to wait for an assistant to bring his stuff from his locker in a cardboard box.

Not so fast. This says Mirotic charged Portis twice before Portis dropped him. Seems as is Mirotic was the aggressor.

I can hear Portis saying "I'm not the one."
This is imported Italian nylon and it's a special edition limited silk print and it was done by this really famous design artist.

I have a feeling I'll be posting this song quite a bit this season:
