I don’t know what Schwartz is thinking there. Really dumb play by Steen to just try and stuff when you have an odd man rush too

Gunnarson drills the post. Binnington with a couple huge saves at the other end

Here's what it looked like inside Enterprise Center when Gunnarsson scored:

Can’t ask for more than a split on the road! Binnington now 12-2 following a loss in the playoffs and regular season combined.

The crowd to watch a game on the Jumbotron and their reaction gives me goosebumps. This whole city is just locked in right now on the Blues

Sundqvist is facing a discipline hearing for his hit. There is absolutely no way that should result in a suspension.

Sundqvist suspended one game. Here is NHL Player Safety's explanation for the suspension:

Pierre LeBrun brought up an interesting point about the need for this hearing earlier today:

This is a joke.

Don Cherry said it best Grzelcyk was “asking for it.” He made a stupid play and lost his balance to boot. When you do a dumb play like that you know you are going to get hit. It’s not Sundqvist’s fault that Grzelcyk lost his balance. And now he sits a game for it. Completely ridiculous in every way. Especially when you factor in that the Bruins put the same hit on Blais later in the game and received nothing for it.

The Blues are getting a ticky tack whistle and the Bruins can do whatever they want. The two teams are playing with two different rule books. It’s fine if they are going to call penalties for little things but then it needs to be called that way for both teams and it just flat out isn’t

Not to mention the giant knob polishing that has been going on about the Krug hit when he skated the length of the ice and then left his feet to charge into Thomas who missed game 2 injured. No penalty of course, instead the hit is celebrated because Boston did it not St Louis

Though to be fair Berube did say that Thomas wasn't out due to the hit. Thomas hasn't been skating much in practice here recently.

The only other thing I’ll add to this is that I hope this motivates the Blues to play angry tomorrow. There are a number of Blues that seem to play at another level when they play with a chip on their shoulder

With the way Grzelcyk had contorted his own head, I don't know how that winds up being Sundqvist's fault that he hit him like that. Definitely a case of suspension because of an injury. Hope it doesn't affect the Blues too much

Looking more and more like Sanford will replace Sundqvist in the line-up tomorrow night.

Downtown St. Louis is gonna be an absolutely packed place tonight with Cubs/Cardinals going on at Busch and Game 3 going on a few blocks down the road at Enterprise Center.

Perron takes a lot of really stupid penalties. I don’t know what was going through his head on that one
