The guys who run @CoachingChanges are legitimate insiders but they’re insiders who’d never attach their real name to what they say. Sketchy is the right word.

This will be entertaining.

Looking like Tubby to High Point:

Pretty cold blooded that HPU denied the release of their top scorer.

These things are stupid. They will end up releasing him in the end and all it does on the meantime is make High Point look petty.

UALR expected to hire DII Clark Atlanta coach Darrell Walker. Walker has over 10 years of NBA coaching experience, but has been at Clark the last 2 years, going 44-18 and leading them to an NCAA appearance this year.

Tennessee State has hired ISU assistant coach Penny Collins to replace former Redbird Dana Ford. Collins had only been with ISU for this season, and was a finalist for the TSU job when it was last open in 2014. Collins played collegiately at Belmont.

Family of a Xavier recruit has reported that Xavier coaches have signalled they are now recruiting for Louisville, which would seem to indiciate a Chris Mack to Louisville announcement would be imminent.

A source close to Michigan/John Beilein is reporting the earlier Marist report is false. But given the busy-ness of Pat's weekend, it could just be a matter of formality and becoming officially official.

Bacari Alexander is out at Detroit:

Seems kind of dirty recruiting for a school that has not announced your hiring. Recruits have to be somewhat confused with all of this happening . How would a lead asst. feel about doing this if he has a chance to be head coach at Xavier.

Western Carolina has announced a 1 PM press conference for tomorrow (Tuesday). It is believed their choice is down to former Charlotte head coach (and more recently NC State associate head coach and current G-League WIndy City Bulls assistant coach) Bobby Lutz, and Winthrop associate head coach Mark Prosser. Prosser is the son of the late Skip Prosser.

Does anyone think that Porter Moser might explore any options, if any are not filled? IMO it appears he will be happy when they pony up with a lot of cash and perhaps an extension. After all, he has a great team coming back and is really comfortable staying in Chicago, for now.

In my opinion, he will not be a *hot* name. There's too much of a body of work that says he's right where he belongs. What I do think happens is Loyola improves greatly on his $420K a year salary so that he doesn't go anywhere unless someone gets really, really crazy.

The Tribune talks about that today.

Yep-body of work pretty much precludes upward mobility...although, I could see a situation where if Loyola maintains a period of success that changes a little bit, because the body of work and overall experience level has improved. But coach buyers have sort of figured out that Hot NCAA run guy isn't usually a smart move.

Outside of UALR, Moser is below .500 in league everywhere else:

22-50 @ ISU
6-28 @ Loyola (Horizon)
42-58 @ Loyola (Valley)

Ryan Odom got an extension today from UMBC, though terms were not disclosed. But I'm guessing next year he will be high on Wake Forest's wish list.

I heard on the score this morning that he comes from a family with money and if his wife is happy to live in Chicago that he will not be going anywhere. Thing is if he ever wants to explore higher profile jobs now is the time.

Now here's one that makes zero sense:

Scott Cross out at Arlington. This is another one that is all about the lack of NCAAs. But 225-161 over 12 years, only 2 sub-.500 league records, and NONE despite changing leagues twice over the past 6 years, and averaging more than 24 wins over the last 3 years and were in the Sun Belt Championship game this year.
