And we have our first league game on Wednesday night, with Pitt and Florida State with a rare season-opening league game.

I don't know if it counts as league game or not but Louisville and Miami are playing in a season-opening game against each other tomorrow night.

Lunardi has them as a 10 seed in the South playing Utah State in the 1st round in St. Louis.

I have a built-in lack of faith in them.

Wouldn't mind swapping them with Wisconsin or somebody but I think 8 is too many for the B1G.

Good catch. . .missed that. It is a league contest. Weird, must be a new ACC thing. And that would then be the first game.

Is the pattern or larger play here - more opportunities for cupcake / refreshers come Jan/Feb?

The pattern is a 20-game conference schedule and nowhere else to put the extra games.

Probably the latter. . .absorb more credible early season losses, avoid starting league play during the finals and Christmas/New Year period, while racking up wins. . .

Davenport University athletics are NCAA Division 2. They are a member of the GLIAC. There’s lots of non-conference competition between the GLIAC and the GLVC. Very similar levels in many sports.
This is imported Italian nylon and it's a special edition limited silk print and it was done by this really famous design artist.

Ah. There seems to be some discrepancy on their wiki page then. One part says their D-II. Another area says they're still in NAIA.

Long season on the horizon in Evanston?:

Merrimack 71, Northwestern 61

(Reminder that this is only Merrimack's 2nd game as a D-I school.)

Northwestern was never good this year. Bradley needs to beat them by a million.

Projected 14th in B1G and it is a safe bet they’ll meet projections. Collins should have found a better job after their 1 gift ncaa appearance.

Just as an FYI for you TAS (as your blog brought up this question), this should clear up any confusion you have regarding the Arizona State-Colorado game counting as a Pac-12 game (per an article from the Pac-12 website regarding the game):
While the matchup between Arizona State and Colorado this year will count towards regular season overall standings, the game will not count as a conference contest. The teams are slated to meet only once during the 2019-20 Pac-12 Conference regular season as part of the league’s 18-game rotation model.
