How weak was 5A north this tournament?

St. Rita seemed to have it pretty easy thru the bracket. Now they're being embarrassed by Rochester. Based on 1 half of football, easily the worst team of the weekend so far.

I enjoyed Leonard's halftime comment...... " I think we're beating them up a little bit"

Nice to see the script flipped. Li 'l o'Rochester = men
Chicago Catholic league = boys
The Rita db's and lb's never saw this before

But we keep hearing that Rita played the toughest regular season schedule?

Congrats to the Lincoln-Way East Griffins in winning the 8A title 12-0. They allowed a mere 36 yards in total offense winning the title for the second time in three years.

I do not post about teams I coach for......but after having a few celebrating cool ones and watching with mason OU win Bedlam (he goes to OU), what the heck

It was a pleasant surprise to read on the PJ-Star forum positive comments about Rochester, they are usually negative.

All week we have read/heard how St. Rita's superior competition, schedule, speed, size, how physical they were, DI RB (he is very good), how they would physically pound Rochester to the point, their players would be carted off the field by medical personnel and/or begging to come off the field.

CS-8 ***

the two inside LB'ers for Rochester, who are, if they're lucky, are 5'6 150, would get pounded by St. Rita's big physical O line.

The entire playoffs, Rochester opponents had big, physical O lines with big athletic FB/Y backs. Mascoutah's two OG's were 6'5 320

Last week, these two LB'ers were part of a defense that was a 1900 yard rusher to 28 yards on 10 carries. He did get a lot of yards after the running clock and the starters were yanked.

St. Rita's RB rushed for 18 yards in 21 carries

I have never been so proud of two players that I have coached, in my 43 years of coaching.

Being their position coach, Im biased tonite.

Rochester played a great game, as usual. Ive seen them play 5-6 times over the years, and of course every State final game on TV. Without a doubt the best-coached team. The play calling was awesome yesterday. Congrats to them. But I despise the head coach. Without a doubt the most obnoxious coach in the State.

Most obnoxious, I dunno about that. But, IMHO, he is the BEST high school football coach in the state.

I don't know a lot about Rochester, just that they win a lot of titles and seem to have great coach and program. Why do some really dislike this coach and call him obnoxious? What has he done to elicit such claims?
